Chapter 12

On the way back to the bus, I spotted a snow cone stand. I grabbed Kat's arm and dragged her over with me. "Kitty! I found snow cones!" She rolls her eyes at me "Shit Sam, you act like you haven't had a snow cone is years"

I laugh "You know how I love snow cones" Truth is, I would die for a snow cone. It's my weakness, probably could kidnap me if you offered me a snow cone. 

Kat glances over "Aw man, we lost em" "Who?" I say while scanning the flavor board. She punches me "The boys, duh" "Hmm, that's cool" Someone approaches us from the side "Nope not me." I look away from the flavors "Oh hey Andy" Uninterested in him I go back to the flavors. 

Andy leans to Kat "Is she ok?" Kat barks out a laugh "She found snow cones" "Um, it's just a snowcone" My back goes rigid. I hear Kat say "Good job, now you're going to die" I slowly turn around. "It. Is. Not. JUST. a. snowcone." I say very slowly.  Stalking up to Andy "Snowcones are one of God's gift to our human race. You cannot simply scorn upon snowcones" I stand on my toes and look him in his eyes "Do not say those words ever again, or I. Will. Kill. You." I whisper. 

I quickly turn back around and see that I'm next in line to order. I lean up against the counter "Extra large" The man inside makes a cone of ice and asks "Flavors" "Huckleberry, raspberry, strawberry, tiger's blood, lime, blueberry, lemon and orange" He nods and I watch as he creates a masterpiece. He hands me the snowcone and I pay and quickly walk to a table. 

A few minutes later Kat and Andy sit with me with small snowcones of their own. Andy's eyes widen when he sees how much I've eaten. "Excited for snowcones Sam?" I glare at him "Don't judge" I go back to eating my snowcone. "Is she always like this around snowcones?" Andy asks Kat. She nods "I got used to it a long time ago"

I down my snowcones in the next few minutes and wait for Kat and Andy to finish theirs. Andy looks at me "Hey Sam, stick your tongue out" I do and he and Kat burst out laughing. I roll my eyes knowing that my mouth looks like a rainbow. 

Finally they finish their cones and Kat and I decide to walk around for a while. "Can I hang with you guys?" Andy asks. Kat evilly smiles "If you can keep up with us" I smile with her and we link our arms together. Andy rolls his eyes "You guys are creeps" I put my hand on my chest and act offended "He called us creeps!" Kat plays along with me "I know, daaahhling!" 

Andy laughs at our act and we begin to walk around. Kat decides she wants to buy merch from the Of Mice & Men and leaves me and Andy to wander around by ourselves. We get stopped several times because people want pictures with Andy. 

"Man, I love this place" I say while we are sitting at a wood table. Andy nods "Me too" He sighs "It's changed and grown from when I was a kid" I look at him "I bet you love performing here now that you're older" He smiles "Yeah, but I love seeing our fans. Honestly I feel like they are part of our family. 

I spot a group of girls headed straight towards us and I laugh "Speaking of part of your family..." While Andy talks to them, I watch the crowd passing by us. I spot a familiar face within the hundreds of faces and when Andy is done I grab his arm and pull him along with me.

"Where are we going?" He asks several times. I ignore him and yell out "Koko! Koko!" The face I spotted turns towards me and breaks into a smile. "Sam! OhMyWord! It is so great to see you!"

Koko had been one of my last foster parents, the last before I turned 18, and probably my favorite. 

I hug the small woman and laugh "Oh I missed you so much!" Beside her is a teenage boy. "Ho-ly Shit. Is this Colton?" She nods "Just turned 16 a couple weeks ago" 

I widen my eyes in surprise "Dude, last time I saw you, you were like this tall" I say motioning to a height level. He smiles and gives me a hug "Hey S-A-m" His voice cracks on the 'A' and he blushes in embarrassment. I laugh and look over him "You are getting handsome! Just like your Mama" 

Koko laughs "Well, I ain't getting any younger" A cough comes from behind me, Andy.

I turn "Sorry Andy, this is Koko one of my past foster parents and her son Colton." Andy holds out his hand "Nice to meet you" Koko's eyes widen "Andy Biersack, Eh Sam? You aim high" She laughs and I feel a a blush flare across my face.

I duck down to hide it and Koko faces Andy "Tell you what boy, hurt her, you're going to have to deal with me." Nothing like a 5'2 woman taking on a 6'4 man. "Koko!" I say "We aren't together"

I glance up at Andy and a flash of hurt crosses his eyes. Koko raises and eyebrow "Oh really." She waves a hand "Eh, no matter. You would make cute kids though" This time Andy and I both blush crazily. 

Colton smacks her shoulder "Mom!"

Eager to changer the subject I ask Colton "So Colton, you still playing the drums?" He nods "Yeah, me a some friends put together a band called Reality in Reverse" I smile "Dude! That's so cool! Are you guys good?" "Yup, we have played a couple of shows already"

I grab a piece of paper from my wallet and write down my number and hand it to Colton. "Send me some demos." I wink at him "Cause you guys will be the nest big thing.

Andy's phone dings and he pulls it out. Reading a text he says "Hey Sam, we need to head back. I nod. "okay"

I hug Koko and Colton "It was sooo great to see you guys!" I nudge Colton "Don't forget to send me some demos" He hugs me again "I won't" I begin to turn away but turn back and yell "Say Hi to Jack from his favorite devil!" Koko laughs "Tell him yourself he's around here somewhere"

Andy and I walk back to the bus "Who's Jack?" "He was their older son when I was there. He's my age. We were polar opposites and hated each other." He raises his eyebrows "We made up my last year I lived with them" I laugh at the memory of Jack telling me that need to make up. 

We make our way back to the bus. When we get there Andy and the boys begin getting ready for their next set.
