jihoon wanted to interfere and push soonyoung away from his mother. however, something was preventing him from doing so. he watched as soonyoung snapped at his mother with clenched fists, anger boiling in his blood.

he wanted to help his mother, even if she wasn't the mom he had wanted her to be. it was as if the world had been testing him in the form of soonyoung, one of his friends.

"you tell seokmin anything else," soonyoung raged, his voice gruff. "and you'll be dead. your connections will be cut off in the next second."

miss lee gasped with sarcasm, and let out a laugh. "but my husband is the ceo of a successful company? what about your pathetic father?"

soonyoung pushed miss lee and cackled. "your husband? you're divorced, miss lee. i don't blame him for divorcing you anyways. and my pathetic father? you know what he works for!"

jihoon let his emotions take over him, losing track of his own actions. he ran up to soonyoung, and separated him from his mother.

"leave her alone, soonyoung," he seethed. "just drop it."

"drop it?" soonyoung asked, his voice cracking. "do you know what she's fucking doing? she's making seokmin feel worse, and that's not what he fucking needs!"

jihoon rolled his eyes from soonyoung's comment. he realized that soonyoung had been making a deal out of his best friend's feelings being hurt.

"so what?" jihoon asked, his eyebrows cocked. "everyone gets hurt at some point, they need to learn to deal with it. don't make seokmin dependent."

soonyoung scoffed, not caring for jihoon's thoughts over the subject. he didn't know anything, he thought.

"whatever," soonyoung muttered. "what a great friend you are. once you realize what's going on with seokmin, then you'll hate yourself for saying something that rude."

he quickly stomped out of jihoon's house, and left to his house. he wanted jihoon to know like the rest of the neighborhood did, but he knew that it wouldn't be okay for seokmin.
