Knowing his dark past and sleep overs

"Mum? Dad? What do you want to talk about?" Chloe asked plopping beside Draco and I. Draco was sitting on the end of the bed along with me while Louis entered the room

"Louis Fredrick George Malfoy are you seriously going to come and hear our discussion?" I scolded my son who looked at me sheepishly

"Mummy, I want to know too. Don't I deserve to know?" He asked frowning. I looked at little Louis and picked him up sitting him in my lap

"I'm sure you wouldn't understand clearly this Lou, but are you sure you want to listen?" I asked him. Louis pondered for awhile and looked at me and Draco

"Yes mummy."

Draco and I looked at each other as the two kids settled down in our bed. Draco squeezed both of my hands tight. I squeezed his hands back and smiled at him

"Are you sure about this?" I whispered to him

"Pretty much, I'm very sure that they'll understand that people do make mistakes" Draco whispered back caressing my cheek. He looked at me in the eye and smiled. I smiled back cupping his cheeks

"I'll be by yourside" I told him. Draco took a deep breath and faced our children who looked at us patiently

"So you really have do give dad a pep talk mum?" Chloe asked smirking

"Oh for the love of Merlin" Draco said sighing "Just listen you two okay? Do you know why dad always wear long sleeves?" Draco asked them. Louis and Chloe looked at each other and shrugged

"Well I think that's your fashion sense dad" Louis answered I pursed my lips trying to hold in the laughter

"Seriously dad? Are you giving us some fashion statement that is very important?" Chloe asked sarcastically. Draco was about to speak when I slapped his back discreetly. Draco scowled at me. I looked at him sternly

"Tell me Mavis why did we raised sarcastic children again?"

"Draco it's in the blood. But back to topic now. You should definitely show them" Draco looked at me as I gave him a thumbs up, telling him that everything's alright. He slowly rolled his sleeves up and showed Louis and Chloe the dark mark. It already faded and remained as a scar all over the years but no matter how hard we tried to erase it, it was still there

Chloe gasped and looked at her father with an upset look on her face. "But dad, that's the dark mark. Voldemort's followers have the dark mark" I didn't know if I should be happy that Chloe was wise enough to know what was Draco showing her

"Voldemort? Isn't that the bad guy?" Louis asked bewildered. He looked at Draco and furrowed his eyebrows not knowing what he will react "Daddy you're one of the bad guys?"

Draco sighed shaking his head. I squeezed his hands. Telling him that I can take over this

"Remember the kids who teased you about your father being a bad guy?" I asked Chloe softly. She frowned and nodded her head

"Is it true then? That dad's a bad guy?"

"No. Draco's not a bad guy. He made a huge mistake when we were Sixteen. Perhaps, he didn't had a choice after all" I said pursing my lips. Louis and Chloe leaned forward eagerly "Draco took the mark because Voldemort gave him two options"

"What were the options mummy?" Louis asked, he was probably interested in Draco's past. He glanced over his dad who was sitting beside me.

"He gave me an option, to be one of them or to kill my whole family" Draco answered his voice cracking a little "I didn't want to be one of them and ofcourse I didn't want my family to die so I was left with no choice, I took the mark" Draco sighed "Listen if you were in that dillema what will you choose? To be selfish and let Voldemort kill your family or to join him and spare your family?" Draco asked Chloe and Louis
