My Dearest | JANTHONY

Chapter 3

It's finally opening night.

Everyone's happy, excited, scared, and stressed. Pippa is probably the most excited. She's so jumpy and can't stop smiling!

I stand in the wings with Anthony as the first song starts, and Leslie goes out for his part. I'm really nervous, and Anthony can tell.

"What's wrong?" Anthony asks. "I'm just nervous." I say. "You're going to do great." He says, smiling. Then, Anthony starts leaning in. I assume for a kiss. My breaths catches in my throat. Next thing I know, he confirms my thoughts, and kisses me. I step back shocked and happy. Did he really just do that? He actually likes me?

All Anthony does is give me a smile, then walk out on to the stage for his part. I'm still in shock. Then, I smile. Smile because Anthony Ramos, my crush, just kissed me.

Anthony POV
I've been wanting to kiss her ever since I laid eyes on her. I hope she likes me back, because it's obvious that I like her now.

After I finish up my first songs, I run out so I won't get in the way. Oak starts hugging me.

"Dude, what are you doing?" I ask, laughing. "You finally kissed Jasmine!" Oak exclaims.

"Wait-You kissed Jas?!" Lin asks. "Yeah." I say, starting to blush. "Well finally!" Lin exclaims.

I laugh, then hear Jasmine singing on stage. I turn all my attention to her. I then realize the songs over, and I have to go on for 'Farmer Refuted'. I don't have a very big part in that song, but I still have to do my best. It's opening night.

When the song is over, and 'You'll Be Back' starts playing. As I walk off, I run into Jasmine.

"H-Hey." I stutter, awkwardly.

Jasmine chuckles and asks, "It's official?" A huge smile spreads across my face. I nod, trying to be col about it, but it's not really working.

I give her a huge hug. She gives me a peck on the cheek. I can't stop smiling. It's literally impossible for me right now.

"Let's tell everyone after the show." Jasmine whispers with a smile.

I look at her beautiful eyes and say, "Sure!" Then, Jasmine turns her head and says, "We have to be on for Right Hand Man! Let's go!" She takes my hand and we bolt to the stage. Fortunately, we make it in time.

Jasmine POV
I didn't think I could start another relationship, but when Anthony kissed me, I knew I wanted to be with him.

As we all finish up 'Right Hand Man', which I only have two small parts in, the music plays for 'A Winter's Ball'. I dance with Anthony in 'Helpless', the song after this, so I'm pretty excited.

The music plays for 'Helpless'. We are at the part of the song where Anthony and I start dancing together. He makes weird, funny faces at me, and It takes a lot for me not to laugh. I let out a few small chuckles. I'm so glad we're finally a couple.

I'm only on for a few more songs until I change character into Maria Reynolds. It's my time to walk out for 'Say No To This'. This is the song where I can truly show off my vocals. I better not blow it, especially the first time I perform it.

I finish the song, and after that, I only show up in a few more songs. 'Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story?' Is the last song, for everyone. The emotions are high.

The curtain call is amazing. I've never heard  this much applause, maybe ever. I can do nothing but smile. When we all run offstage, everyone gets in a huge group hug. We all say our 'good jobs!' And 'We all did amazings!'

Then, Anthony says, "Attention!" Everyone stops and looks at him. I run beside him. "Jasmine and I have something to say...Jasmine?" He says, motioning to me.

Everyone's confused until I exclaim, "Anthony and I are officially dating!"

People start cheering. I hear Renee shout, "Finally!" We get a lot congratulations, and excited hugs. Anthony takes me in his arms and kisses me on the head. I never knew that I would eventually date, the handsome stranger that I ran into in the hall, but here we are.
