It's been quite a while since Phillipa got engaged. Well, not too long. It's Halloween night. Anthony wemt out with the guys, and Carleigh and I watch scary movies as we promised.
We go to Carleigh's apartment, make popcorn, huddle in blankets, and watch 'The Conjuring'. I have a love/hate relationship with horror movies, so not sure why I agreed to this.
When we get to a calm part in the movie, Carleigh asks me, "So, how are you and Ant doing?"
I smile at the mention of his name. "We couldn't be doing better. Of course, my stalker of an ex-boyfriend keeps trying to get me back, but we're powering through it."
Carleigh laughs, "I've heard about that. I feel so bad. That's horrible, and just plain creepy."
"I know right." I say, widening my eyes.
We both laugh. Soon, we fall asleep. ______________________________
I wake up, exhausted. I think we fell asleep at 2:00 a.m. Thank God we don't have a show today. I soon realize that Anthony isn't home.
I check my phone to see a text from Daveed.
D: Anthony spent the night at my house, he got a little too drunk lol. Just wanted to let you know.
J: Oh, thanks for watchin him! I'll come by and get him.
D: It's fine. I had to so the same with Oak😂See ya then.
I wake Car up and tell her I'm going to get Anthony. She gathers her things, and heads out.
I throw on ripped jeans, a white sweater, a red-plaid scarf, and a a black leather jacket. I grab my purse and rush out the door. I feel my phone buzz in my hand. It's on the group chat with the whole hamilton cast.
Lin: Everyone please meet at the theatre in at least 30 minutes! It's very important!
I could've taken Carleigh, but it's too late now. I text Daveed and ask if he can take Anthony, so it's easier. He responds with a yes, and I'm on my way.
I get to the theatre with a very happy Lin, and confused cast on the stage. I set my stuff down on a seat, and rush up there.
"So, what's this all about?" Thayne asks, taking a bite of a cookie. Of course.
"I have a very important announcement..We're going to Broadway!" Lin exclaims.
Silence falls, then someone, who I think is Renee, screams. After that, everyone goes crazy.
Wow. I'm gonna be on Broadway. That's pretty awesome. It's a lot to process, and I don't think I ever will be able to.
Jasmine Cephas Jones on Broadway. Huh, I like the sound of that.
