I quickly pull away from Mason when I realize what just happened. Why would I let Mason do that? What is wrong with me?! "Jasmine, baby." He tries to pull me back in, but I jerk away.
"Don't touch me." I hiss. I turn and walk out the door. Thank God no one saw that. At least I don't think anyone did. I turn the corner, to see Oak composing a crying Anthony. Oak gives me a look of confusion.
I mouth to him, "What's going on with him?"
He mouths back, "He saw you and you're cheating ex-boyfriend."
My whole world falls apart.
My heart drops.
I hurt Anthony. How could I do this? I can't play the victim this time. I love him too much to just, let this slide.
I mouth to Oak, "Leave. I'll compose him." Oak gives me an expression, as if I was crazy, out of my mind, insane even. And maybe I am. Crazy over Anthony.
As Oak leaves, Anthony is confused. He turns around, and sees me. His face is emotionless. "What do you want?" He asks.
"I came to apologize. Mason kissed me. I didn't kiss him." I say, going in for a hug.
He steps back.
"You didn't pull away." He whispers. "Babe, of course I did-" I'm cut off by Anthony turning and walking away.
"Anthony, don't leave me!" I call out. He keeps walking.
I run up to him, turn him around, and kiss him passionately.
He doesn't pull away.
"Ant, please. Don't leave me." I say, our noses almost touching.
"I won't." He says, with a smile. That's a picture that brings me to tears. I smile ear to ear.
"I love you." We both say at the same time. That makes us burst out laughing. Man, he's a dork. But I love him. _______________________________
