After Robin's departure, knowing that they'd never see her again, it was as if she'd died. Guess couldn't bring herself to play video games and she rarely left her room. The same went for Mello. He only ever got up to go to the toilet and when he got back, lay on his bed and stared blankly at the ceiling. He didn't speak, all he would mumble was 'still nothing' as the only way he could let Matt know how he was doing. He wouldn't have eaten if it hadn't been for Matt. Matt knew he had to stay strong for the people he cared about, he even stopped playing video games himself - busy by making sure that Mello ate, keeping him company and then going to Guess's room and doing the same thing. He could see that Guess was trying to recover, trying to save herself but he could see through all her fake smiles. Often, he'd knock to find Guess with red eyes but she still denied that she'd been crying. She felt awful for doing this to him, she didn't want to be sad anymore. She had to help Matt get Mello better. Matt couldn't look after them both on his own.
