"Heartbreak Hotline how can I help?" Kylo sighed as he spoke into the mic, his life was one big confusing mess.
"Hey Kylo."
"Rey, what is it?"
"I don't know."
"What do you mean?"
"Do I even like Hux? I mean I thought I did and now I don't know."
"Well if you don't know, I wouldn't know."
"The thing is Kylo I don't think I like him anymore! I mean, I no longer feel that bubbly feeling of love! I don't know!"
"It's okay Rey, just let him down easy if he's still pursuing you."
"How?"
"If he asks you out or tries anything romantic just politely decline. But if he wants to hand out as friends that's fine."
"Thanks Kylo, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah I'll see you."
She hung up and Kylo sighed, looking down at the ground.
"Ben are you okay?" He heard his mothers worried voice come from the door. "Yeah just fine."
"Are you sure?" She came rushing in, her eyes scanning his face. "You don't look like you are."
"I'm fine!" He swatted at her.
"Is it a girl?"
Kylo went silent.
"Oh honey! Who is it?"
"No one, no one important."
"Come on Ben, you could tell me."
Kylo glanced at his mother then at the ground. Maybe it's best if he let it all out. Before he could stop himself the words came rushing out followed by tears.
" — and Katherine came back, I don't like her anymore but she wants a second chance and — I gave it to her."
His mother pulled him into a hug. "Don't worry Ben, it'll be alright. I promise."
Kylo smiled, if only he could believe her.
