Kylo was sure the universe and everyone in it was out to get him. It was as if God purposely made Rey so Kylo would lose his mind. Whatever the universe was doing against him, was working.
"Ren I advise you to do two things."
"What is it Snoke?"
"The mission you had with the girl is over. She's fine and you no longer need to be at the school."
"What do you mean?"
"Dameron doesn't like her and Hux does. She'll find someone."
"But —"
"You have feelings for her?"
"N-no! Never!"
"Good, by the end of this week say your goodbyes and leave. You have calls to answer and a show to make big! We can't be focusing on pity projects."
"It's not a pity project. I just wanted to help her!"
"She doesn't need it anymore."
"But she —"
"Don't let your personal feelings get into what's important, Ren. Views are important, calls are important. People are actually loving this talk show thing you have. I'm going to make this Heartbreak Hotline huge!"
Kylo went silent.
"And it all starts with getting rid of what's unnecessary."
"Of course Snoke."
"Good, do not disappoint me."
"I won't." He took a deep breath propping himself on his bed. Kylo's hands reached for his computer and mic, trying to forget out the conversation he just had.
"Heartbreak Hotline what's your problem?"
"Are you and that — what's her name again? Oh yeah, Rey. Are you two together?"
"Excuse me?"
"It's everywhere! And everyone's wondering."
"What?" His voice went high and he reached for his phone. All over were blurry images of him and Rey along with several gossip articles and theories. Kylo's eyes widened, Snoke.
After regaining his composure he turned back to the call.
"No just friends."
"Sure." The called laughed before hanging up. He sighed before getting a notification, it was a message from Snoke.
S: I could tell you're not too keen on letting this girl go. I bet you saw the posts already, ah the power of the Internet. Look, here's the deal: you do what I instructed you in that last call and I'll take down the posts and make it forgotten. If not then, you'll see more: maybe ones revealing your true identity.
