Chapter 23:

When I got home and went inside, I saw Dallas sitting on the couch. "Hey sis how was it?"asked Dallas from the couch. "Good, and Johnny walked me home." I said walking over to my brother. I sat down next to him on the couch. "Dallas tell me the truth, what do you really think about Johnny and I getting married? I don't care what you say but tell me the truth."I said asking my brother as we sat on the couch. "I don't know, sis. I'm happy for the two of you. It's not the best age but if you two are happy, it doesn't bother you."replied my brother and I looked at him and smiled. "Thanks,Dal. I'm gonna go upstairs and change." I told him and ran upstairs to my room. I change into yoga pants and a white shirt.I was sitting on the bed ,thinking when Dallas walked into my room and said, "There's only three days left before you get married, you ready? Get dressed and meet me downstairs." said Dallas looking at me. "No don't make move,Dallas!" I said trying to sound like a little kid. Dallas pulled me off the bed and I told fine,that I would get dressed.I put on jeans and left my white shirt on and threw on my converse and leather jacket.I go downstairs to see my older brother ready to go and he passes me a black box. I open it and find an engraved switchblade that reads, "You're the best sister ever. I'm glad you're happy with Johnny. I love you 3!" I looked at Dallas and hugged him, and said "Thanks bro, I love you,too." "Let's go,sis!" replied Dallas who lead me out of the house. "Where are we going Dallas?" I asked him as he lead me to a mystery location.

"Really Buck's?" I asked my brother as we entered the bar. "Come on, you need to live it up the next few days,try a beer or something?"asked my brother,annoyingly. "Seriously,Dallas?" I say looking at him,seriously. "Yes sure get drunk and have fun with that!" I said jokingly to Dallas. I left him at Buck's and was walking home when I heard a scream.I recognized the scream, it was JOHNNY.

I ran as fast as I could towards the of Randy's friends had Johnny.I went over to the two boys who were yelling very rude things at Johnny and beating him.I watched from a distance and tried to think of a way to help him. I was Ponyboy and Arizona down the street, holding hands and talking.I ran over to them and told them about ran back to his house for came with me for help. I could hear Johnny, barely talking. "My girlfriend will kill you if you don't stop." said Johnny. Arizona and I went over there. "Yes his girlfriend will kill you." I said loudly and the socs looked at me and kept beating Johnny. "Let's go Ari!" I said walking with Arizona to beat up the socs. I knocked one soc out and Arizona kicked one real hard. I high fived her and ran over to Johnny. Ponyboy came back with Darry,Soda,Steve and Two Bit and they finished off the socs and I sat with Johnny and said, "It's okay Johnnycakes, I am here."
