Bram's POV:

The blade falls out of my grasp, landing on the ground in slow motion and I felt my heart literally stop. I couldn't apprehend how this happened in the short time, but it shocked me.

Roan laid on the ground, blood coming out of his mouth and he was coughing hoarsely. "Bram?" He calls out, his voice weak.

I go over to him, grabbing one of my white shirts and I begin to wipe away the blood. My hand was shaking uncontrollably, my breathing heavy as I felt tears going down my cheeks and I say, "I'm here... Don't worry, you'll be fine. I promise you."

Roan gives out a choked laugh, shaking his head at me and says, "He's here. Just leave." He grabs my shaking hands, holding them tightly and coughs some more. Blood coming from his mouth again, and his body shook with great intensity.

I bit my lower lip, my hands still shaking and I say, "Who's here?" I look around my room, but no one was here except the two of us. I pull out my phone, dialing 911 and wait for them to pick up the phone.

"911, what is your emergency?" The operator asks me.

"Please, my boyfriend got attacked in my apartment and there's a lot of blood." I say, looking down at the now blood soaked t-shirt and I grab another one and apply it near his mouth.

"Alright... What is your address?" The operator asks me.

"Uh... It's 278 Whitechapel Street, I live in 212B," I say, looking down at Roan who was struggling to stay awake.

"Alright, a car and an ambulance is being sent to the place right now. Do you know where your boyfriend got injured?"

I look at Roan, trying to figure out where he was bleeding and I shook my head as if the operator was with me. I bit my lip again, withholding myself from crying and I say, "N-no... He's bleeding from his mouth though."

A sigh, and the operator says, "Alright, sir. They are on the way, it'll take 10 minutes to get there. Make sure he stays awake." Then the operator hung up on me, leaving me with Roan.

I set my phone on the ground, patting Roan's face and say, "Hey, stay with me. They're almost here..." I take a hold of his hand, squeezing it to reassure him that everything was going to be alright.

Roan smiles at me, but it looked more like a grimace and he squeezed my hand back. "I'm not going to go anywhere, I promise."

Sirens could be heard not so far from here, then the lights of blue and red from the cop car flashed into my room. Shouting could be heard from downstairs, then the sound of footsteps made its way closer to my apartment door.

I stand up, heading to my front door to show them the way to my bedroom; blood soaked my pants and hands. I see a few officers and ambulance people make their way up the stairs, I say, "He's in here." I wave them into my apartment, and head to my bedroom.

Roan sat up against my bed, resting his head on my bed and blood was still coming out of his mouth. He opens his eyes, looking at the officers and the ambulance people and says, "I'm fine..." He coughs violently, he clutches his stomach and he groans.

An officer rolled his eyes at Roan's lie and says sarcastically, "Sure you are buddy. What happened here?" The officer asks me, his green eyes studying me.

I clear my throat, wiping away the tears that slipped down my cheeks and I say, "I-I don't know... We were about to go out to eat, but when I asked my boyfriend if he was ready he didn't reply. So I went to go find out what was wrong, I came into my room to see him bleeding from his mouth. I tried to stop the bleeding, but it's not stopping."

The cop sees the pile of bloody shirts resting on the ground, he raised an eyebrow and says, "Guys get the kid who's dying to the hospital."

"Yes sir!" One of them says, they brought in the stretcher and sets it down. The two guys put Roan on it and heads out.

The officer smiles at me, and says, "Have a good day, I'll have some officers at his door to make sure nobody gets to him." He gives me a curt nod, then he leaves me alone.

The sound of my door shutting echoed throughout my apartment and I cringed at how silent it is.

I silently look at the scene in my room, I pick up the bloody shirts and throw them away. I head over to my bed, noticing that a powdered substance was on my bed and I frown slightly at this. I touch it, I bring it up to my nose and sniff it and I cringed slightly at the smell. Poison? But where did this come from? I thought to myself as I wiped it on my pants, I run my fingers through my hair and sigh.

"I knew I would find you here," a voice says from behind me.

My body turns cold, I don't turn around and I say, "What are you doing here, Cronus?" I turn around to see him leaning against my doorframe, a smirk played on his face and I say, "We had a deal..." I felt anger bubble inside of my chest, I clench my fists and stare at him.

He laughs lowly, he points at me and says, "You broke our deal..." His green eyes narrowed slightly, turning more feline and he pulls out an envelope from his back pocket.

Broke the deal? I never did that... Unless... I shook my head, trying to get rid of the thought and I say, "I don't know what you are talking about." I snatch the envelope out of his grasp and take out the note. I begin to read it, my eyes quickly scanning the paper and the handwriting.

Cronus,

I have broken the deal, my brothers now know where you are at. They shall be there to kill you.

Sincerely,
Bram

I look up at Cronus with a scoff, I throw the note in the trash and I say, "I didn't write this." I watch as Cronus rolled his eyes and snatched the paper out of the garbage.

He clears his throat, fixing his hair and looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Now don't lie to me, that won't save your lovely boyfriend," Cronus says, taking steps closer towards me with a look of sincere playing in his eyes.

"I'm not lying, I don't remember what happened in the past month... Except for the fact that I made a deal with you and that Roan is my boyfriend." I respond, I take a few steps back as I try to keep my distance from Cronus.

He sighs softly, he snaps his fingers and he says, "Alright... Your boyfriend is better... Somewhat, except for the fact that he will be sick forever but never dying." He puts two fingers at my temple and mutters a few words.

Memories begin to rush back, I gasp loudly as I collapsed to the ground in pain and I try to stop it. I look up at Cronus, my body shaking and I say, "What did you do to me?" I wrap my arms across my stomach as I felt a wave of nausea wash over me and I struggle to stand up.

Cronus gives me a feline like smile, he looks down at me and says, "I gave back your memories. I hope you're glad, I bid you adieu my friend..." He claps his hands, he disappeared into smoke as I was left alone.

I grab a hold of my bedsheets, struggling to get onto my feet and the sheets come off my bed. I collapse back onto the ground, groaning in pain as memories begin to crush into the front of my skull. Wanting to be remembered, I bring my hands up to my head and try to stop the madness. It never stopped, it kept coming, I just wanted to die right then and now.

Nobody could save me...
