Before I continue the story of my beloved Bram and Roan. I want to thank @olivetree for commenting on my page. Even if it was talking about Supernatural, lol. Thanks @olivetree and all of my fellow readers check out her story Haunted.
Bram's POV:
The sound of my shallow breathing kept my mind from any distractions that I either thought about or how it was in reality. I exhale, leaning my head against the ash tree and I reach for my water bottle that I put on the grass.
"Bram, we need to talk," a voice says from behind me.
I groan, recognizing that it was Thaddeus and I say, "No we don't." I pick up my water bottle and begin to jog again. Clearly not wanting anything to do with my older brother and head down my street.
But then I wasn't on my street anymore, I was tied to a chair and I soon realize that I was in my family's dungeon... Yes we have a dungeon, don't ask me why. My parents are weird. I yank on the restraints and I yell out, "THADDEUS!" I curse under my breath and wait.
Thaddeus doesn't show up, instead my father was standing in front of me. A disappointed look playing across his sharp features.
I froze, fear creeping up into my chest and I stutter out, "F-father... I c-can explain."
My father gives out an unamused laugh, he shook his head and says, "You can explain, hmm? Then explain to me why you haven't found Cronus?"
I don't respond to my father's question, I stare at him and mumble some excuse and that of course earned me a slap across the face. I wince at the pain that resonates throughout my body and I look at my father again.
A hard look of hate played in his eyes, his gray hair slicked back and he repeats, "Boy, answer the question. Why haven't you been looking for Cronus?"
I clear my throat, looking forward with a blank stare and I say, "Father, I--..." I don't know what I was thinking, but my father slapped me again.
"No excuses, son. You either answer truthfully or not at all." He snarls out, his eyes turning red. His stance rigid as if he was going to hurt me even more so.
I can't tell him about Roan, he'll even kill him and Lilian if I ratted them out. No, I'd rather take the beatings then to see Roan hurt. I look away from my father's furious look, I coughed up some blood and I spit it out on the floor. "I can't..." Was all I could muster up as I wait for the next assault.
The door opens, revealing my other brother Tokoshi and he bows at my father. His gaze doesn't even reach mine, probably ashamed that I wasn't obeying father and he says, "Sir, we've got some news."
Father glances at Tokoshi, a small smile playing on his lips and he says, "Do tell me it's good news?" He looks back at me, triumph playing in his eyes as if saying, "At least I can trust my other son to bring me what I want. You're just a disappointment to your family."
Tokoshi bows again, a smile on his lips and says, "Yes father, it is good news... We were able to find out that Cronus is keeping two siblings captive so he can protect himself from any harm." His gaze reached mine, his face placid from any other emotions.
Father claps, giving out a laugh and pats Tokoshi's back. "My son, that's excellent news. Now find out who knows about the two siblings."
What a suck up. I thought to myself as I give my brother a death glare and I struggle with the restraints. Again, they don't budge. I curse under my breath, colorful swear words came out of my mouth as I thought, Who ever tied these, I am so going to kill them.
Tokoshi gives my father a smile, nodding in agreement and bows one last time before leaving the room.
My father turns back to face me, a smug smile plays on his face and says, "I'm going to release you from your duty. Thaddeus and Tokoshi are going to take your task instead, due to your lack of cooperation." He snaps a finger at me, the restraints giving out and he says, "Bram, I expected more from you."
I rub my wrists, grimacing at the pain shooting through my body and I don't look at my father. "I'm truly sorry for being disobedient towards you." I look up and I notice a whip in his grasp. I gasp softly at him, realizing that he was going to give me 100 lashes for punishment.
He waved the whip at me, telling me to remove my shirt and says lowly, "I hope you are sorry, my son. Now face the wall."
I swallow nervously as I peel off my shirt, I turn around slowly and I put my hands on the wall. I could hear my father approach me, and I felt my muscles tighten up with fear.
The sound of the whip resonates throughout the room, making me squeeze my eyes.
----------------------------------------------Roan's POV:
I sat silently in a chair, the one farthest away from Cronus and I wait for him to speak. Yet none of that was happening for the most part, all I can see was that he was just staring at me.
His legs were propped up on the mahogany colored table, his fingers were entwined with each other and his lips were pressed into a firm line.
My sister, Lilian was sitting opposite from Cronus, her head hanging low as if she betrayed me. Her hair was put into a neat braid, she was dressed in a raven blue dress today.
"Where were you earlier today?" Cronus asks, his feline like eyes narrowed on me as he waits for the real answer.
I exhale softly, reaching for the glass of water that was in front of me and take a small sip. "I was at the cafe, and I had a little more then a glass of alcohol." I was sticking with that story no matter how many times Cronus asks me. But Lilian knew that I was lying because she confronted me earlier when I got into our room.
Lilian stood in front of the closed door, her eyes full of anger and she says, "Roan, where were you really? I know you don't drink."
I roll my eyes at her accusation, I put on a fresh shirt and say, "How would you know, Lilian? You stopped talking to me when Cronus took you to his room to seal the deal. So stop acting like you care about me. Where I was is not your business." I slam my dresser drawer in frustration and try my best to stay under control.
Lilian stared at me speechless, her mouth opening and shutting like she was a fish. Her face turns red, she marched over to me and says lowly, "Did you sleep with the Hunter?"
I don't answer her, my gaze not reaching hers and I mumble under my breath, "You don't know shit."
Lilian stopped me from leaving the room, her eyes pleading me to stop this nonsense and she says, "Roan, were you at the enemy's house?"
A knock came from outside our door, I push past my sister and open the door to see Jaquése the butler standing there.
"What is it?" I growl out, clearly not wanting to see anyone that was part of Cronus's crew.
Jaquése bows in respect and says, "Master Cronus wants to talk with you." He peers over my shoulder, noticing Lilian and a smile plays on his lips. "Ah-, Gutenberg. Madam Lilian, you're welcome as well to dine."
So yeah, now we are at the point of Cronus interrogation....
Duh duh duhh!!!!! Cliffhanger. But just so you guys know, the butler was supposed to be French, but I spelt his name wrong. Heh. So his name is Mexican and he is bilingual. God, I cracked up.
Questions are always exceptional. Love you all,
Cas
