Bram's POV:
Lilian and I were silently standing near the edge of Northumberland St., no words were exchanged between the two of us since we left my apartment.
I look back and forth the long road, getting impatient about the fact that the car that was suppose to pick us up wasn't here yet. I groan involuntary, staring up at the sky and I break the silence saying, "Where the hell is the car?" I kick the pole lightly, cringing slightly as pain shot up my leg.
Lilian glances over at me, she shrugs her shoulders and says, "Soon..." Her brown hair loosens out of its ponytail as the wind messes it up.
I chew on my lower lip, giving Lilian a glare of you-got-to-be-kidding-me and I respond back with, "Soon? How long is soon?"
As if on queue, a black limo pulls up where we were and then the window rolls down. A man, no older then 60 was in the drivers seat and he says, "Lilian, it's nice to see you again. Is your brother okay?" A look of concern plays on the driver's face as he unlocks the doors.
Lilian smiles at the man and says, "He is handling, papa. I missed you so much."
I stare back and forth between the two, shock playing in my face and I say to Lilian, "Wait. You're family!?" I couldn't believe that I was talking to Roan's father and I hope that he doesn't know about us.
The man looks at me, a frown settling on his face and says, "And you must be Bram, I've heard a lot about you from my dear daughter. Tell me, will you still love my son after the fight is over if you found out that he is from a powerful family?"
I don't respond at first, surprised that he was asking me this and I say, "Of course..."
He nods, his lips forming into a firm line and says, "Alright then... Get in you two, we don't want to keep him waiting."
Lilian and I both get into the limo, and the man drives us to Cronus's house without anymore questions asked. Which caused me to worry about what the father was thinking....
----------------------------------------------Lilian's father stops the limo at Windsor Gardens, his face showing no emotions whatsoever and he says, "Alright guys, good luck."
I stare at the blank vastness of Windsor Gardens, realizing there was no house anywhere in site and I say to him, "But there's no house here!"
Lilian scoffs at my remark, she gets out of the limo and says, "It's invisible, stupid. It's protected by glamour." She gives her father a kiss on the cheek and says, "Love you, papa. Tell mama that we are okay."
Her father smiles softly at his daughter, he touches her cheek and says, "Of course, anything for my sweet pea." He then starts the limo and drives off.
Lilian looks at me, her eyes now a darker shade of her original eye color and says, "Follow me." She begins to walk to the empty vastness and then she disappears.
I gasp softly at this, not sure what I just witnessed and call out, "Lilian?" I cautiously walk the way she went but not too far.
"I'm right here you, you dumb nut! Now cross through the veil!" Her voice says.
I chew on my lower lip, debating if I should and I say, "I don't know." I shove my hands in my pockets, staring at the space in front of me.
"What's going on, sister? Where's Bram?" A familiar voice says.
A smile washes over me and I say, "Roan?"
Lilian growls lowly, sounding animalistic and says to Roan, "Brother you can't be out here! What happens if he finds out about you two?"
