Bram's POV:
I silently browse the aisle at the grocery store, trying to figure out what I wanted to eat for my lunch/ dinner. My eyes scanned the shelves in order to find some cat food for Dorian, my gaze stops at the tuna cat food and I think about whether to get that nasty tuna kind or the beef one. I reach my hand out to grab the beef one, but something shiny got caught in my peripheral vision.
The shiny thing that caught my peripheral vision disappears, leaving me back into reality and I just grabbed like over twenty fricking beef cat food.
I hurriedly walk to the next aisle, noticing it was the aisle of chips, and other goodies and I stop to see some of the Sweet & Spicy Doritos. I put two bags of those in the basket I was carrying around with me, again I stopped.
The shiny thing came from my left side, I turn around quickly on my heels just in time to see someone about to stab me in the back. I duck underneath the person, avoiding the knife and notice that some more daggers were fastened to the person's thighs.
I grab one of them out of its sheaths, I stand behind the guy and say to the stranger, "I would've thought twice to do that my friend." I aim for the his arm to knock the dagger out of the his grasp, but he elbows me in the chest. I back wheeled into the shelves, knocking one over and I tried to deliver some oxygen to my lungs.
The guy throws the dagger at me, causing me to duck yet again and the dagger hits the bag of chips over my head.
"That's not very nice, those were the good kind of chips." I remarked, I twirl the dagger in my grasp and I say, "Who are you?" I glance at the chips, feeling sorry for them and then look back at the stranger who was staring at me.
The boy stares at me some more, his facial features hidden by the mask he wore and says, "I was sent to kill you."
Oh, great. An assassin, how fun. I thought to myself, I push myself off the ground and aim for the dagger to hit the guy's abdomen.
The guy dodges my throw, grabbing the dagger in midair and smiles at me with a wicked glint in his eyes. He walks over to me, the dagger glinting in the light and I watch as he comes closer.
I notice that my basket was a few inches away from me, I slouch a bit to have my foot touch the basket and I strain a bit. I groan a bit at the effort to grab the basket with my foot, I look up to see that my assassin was slowly coming closer to me. Fuck, fuck, fuck... I chanted inside my brain as I continue to strain for my basket with my foot.
Suddenly the assassin is flung away from me, and I see Tokoshi standing there with a raised eyebrow at me. He walks over to me, helping me up and says, "Didn't know you had a fan?" Sarcasm dripped from his words, a smile playing on his lips.
I brush off the dirt, giving him a glare and say, "Haha, very funny. To tell you the truth I don't know who he is." I walk over to the assassin who was struggling to stand up off the floor and I pin him to the wall with a scowl on my face. "Time to see what you look like assassin." I grab a chunk full of his mask, giving him a small smile and yank it off.
Tokoshi and I give out a gasp of surprise. I take a step back and look at the assassin with shock.
It wasn't a guy at all, it was a girl? A girl almost kicked my ass in a freaking supermarket and I thought she was a guy.
The girl smiles at me wickedly and says, "Surprise motherfucker, I'm a girl." She punches me in the stomach and says, "Didn't think I was one right?"
I grunt at the impact of the punch, but I do not let go of him and I say, "No, not at all." I look over at Tokoshi who was gaping at the girl and I smirked. I look back at the girl and say, "Who ordered you to kill me?"
The girl scoffs at my question, rolling her eyes and says, "Hmm, guess." She flips her hair over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow at me.
"Cronus?" I asked, my grip on her fabric tightening at the thought of him sending a girl to kill me.
"Bingo! Give this lovely boy a prize!" She replies dryly, her grey eyes staring at me,
Tokoshi laughs at the dry answer that the assassin gave me and says, "Well you are so screwed brother if Cronus is sending out an assassin to kill you."
I scowled at the assassin and my brother, I look over at the girl and say, "Well lucky for me, I'll be keeping you in my custody." I yank the girl by the shirt and snap my fingers as I grab my basket of food up off the ground.
