Bram's POV:

It's been hours since Roan and I talked, and Cronus still hasn't shown up. This was a bit boring due to the lack of things to do and all I could do was stare up at the ceiling.

I exhale softly in boredom, closing my eyes and I let my thoughts cloud over my brain. I didn't know why I pulled away from Roan when he kissed me, maybe it was because one of Cronus's minions would report back to him if they found us together. God, I'm so stupid. I wipe my hand over my face and then a knock comes from my door. "Come in," I say lowly.

The door opens, revealing an elderly man who was a butler, he bows and says, "Gutenberg, Mr. Poet. Cronus is back now so come down when you are ready." The butler leaves me alone yet again, his tailcoat moving as the nonexistent wind picks it up.

I exhale softly, and thought, finally! I get off my bed and walk downstairs to see that Roan was outside two double doors. My heart ached to kiss him again, but I maintained myself from doing so. I clear my throat as I stood in front of Roan, my fingers curling up into fists and I say, "Is he in there?"

He nods, no words coming out of his mouth and opens the two double doors. He stands in front of me and bows. "Sir, Mr. Poet is here." Roan says softly, standing back up straight.

"Let him in, Roan~." A thick voice says from inside the room, the voice purring out his name.

My jaw clenched in anger at the mere thought of Cronus purring my boyfriends name and I watch as Roan moves out of my way so I could enter.

His eyes were casted downwards, his face tainted a pink hue and he mutters something that nobody but himself could hear. He walks over to Cronus, standing next to him and Roan kept a blank mask on his face.

I walks into the room, heading to the chair farther away from Cronus; yet close enough to get away at studying Roan. I sit down in the chair, my eyes staring at the mahogany table and I look back up to look my enemy in the eyes.

Cronus smiles at me, his fingers entwined with one another and his feet were propped on the table. He only wore sweatpants and a tank top; no formal attire on him. "So, you've met Lilian and my lovely Roan before." Cronus states lowly, his irises were a "normal" human size.

I nod slightly, giving Roan a curt nod of acknowledgment and I muster myself from attacking Cronus when he said, and I quote, "My lovely Roan." I display a faux smile on my face, and I say, "Of course I did... I couldn't forget when you sent Lilian out to kill me."

Roan winces slightly, trying to keep himself from doing something and his face turns a deeper shade of pink. He clears his throat, tilting his head from one side then the other and says, "Excuse me, sir... Let me go check how long it'll take before dinner is ready." He turns to me, bowing in respect and scurried out of the room without further words being spoken.

I avert my gaze as Roan left the room, I look back at Cronus and say, "So what did you want to talk about again??"

A feline smile plays on Cronus's lips now, he tilts his head to one side and says, "I want to make a deal." He removed his feet from the mahogany table and stands up.

"What kind of deal?" I ask, raising an eyebrow at him with curiosity.

He laughs lowly at my question, he looks at the huge grandfather clock that was just ideally sitting there. He stares at it for a good amount of time and says, "I'll release every soul I took from the living and send it to the rightful place..."

"I'm guessing that you're not doing this out of the goodness of your heart?" I remark, staying in my spot.

Cronus turns around to face me, a huge smile gleaming in his eyes and says, "Of course... I want you to let me disappear and go live somewhere else that I will not be of any harm to anyone." He holds out his hand for me to shake.
