The last hour? What the hell is he talking about? I thought to myself, as I stare at my two brothers with utter confusion. "Wait, the last hour? Tokoshi what the hell is that?" I asked, somewhat confused at what the hell they were talking about and I look at the two of them with lots of questions forming in the back of my mind.
Thaddeus laughs lowly at my questions, he looks at me with those brown eyes and says, "The last hour is when Cronus is able to become the most powerful god like figure in the world if he keeps on draining away the human population. And mother and father wants you to fix it in only two months. No breaks. No anything." Thaddeus stares at me with a straight face as he waits for an answer.
What!? I have to stop Cronus by myself!? What kind of punishment is this!? No no no no no! This isn't fair, none of this is fair. Why, why me? I look at my older brother in shock, hating the sound of the message and I say, "Brother this isn't fair! I cannot possibly get Cronus all by myself in just two months!" I yank on the cuffs, anger boiling throughout my veins as I stare hatefully at the two.
Thaddeus shrugs is shoulders, his tie scrunching up in his suit and says, "That is what mother and father wanted me to tell you, don't give me any attitude because you have to find Cronus yourself. He is your mess and your mess only." He snaps his fingers, and the small sound of metal breaking caught my ears.
The cuffs fall off of my wrists, cascading to the ground and I rub my wrists. I look at Thaddeus and say, "Is there anyone else to help me?" I watch as Tokoshi stares at the ground, not talking. Which was oddly strange because Tokoshi was never quiet; he was always loud and had sarcastic answers for everything... But now, now he is quiet and obedient.
"No, you are all alone on this mission Bram. Now get out of here before our powers run out for the time stop." Thaddeus says in a commanding voice, his brown eyes glancing at the clock; nervous.
I gt out of the seat, I looked at the time noticing it was slowly going and I say, "Give me more details when I am at my house." I kick the chair to the wall, it makes a loud bang and I walk out of the interrogation room.
Everyone was frozen, some were in mid-walk while others were sitting at their desk working on cases. One of the workers was frozen with a candy bar in her hands, about to be opened.
A smile slowly shows on my lips, I snatch the almost opened candy bar out of the officer's hand and walk out of the police station. Heading back into the night, hearing traffic farther in the town. I eat the candy bar happily, walking back to my house.
