{breanna's pov}

...

New York City.

The city that has millions of souls.

Some living the real life with an expensive car and a big house...others, just being lost souls waiting for an opportunity to become someone in the future. Maybe I'm a lost soul, still trying to find my purpose.

But real life can't be described as "an expensive car and a big house". Real life is be able to wake up every single morning with something to eat, a safe place to sleep and love. Real life is be able to feel safe and loved. Maybe I'm not a lost soul, maybe I already found my purpose and he is right here sitting next to me.

I felt his hand on my thigh as I looked outside through the window and he kept driving.

"Is everything okay?" Cameron asked me.

"Yeah..." I replied nodding slightly.

"You sure? You seem so thoughtful..."

"Just thinking about life. You know...everything's perfect now. My mom is okay, your dad is okay, we're good..."

"What's wrong about it...isn't that a good thing?"

"It's just that...every time everything is working, something bad happens. Everything ends." I explained as I watched a drop rolling down his car's window.

Welcome to New York City's rainy weather.

"I wish I could disagree with you but you know...life is a bitch, you just need to enjoy every single moment God gives you. You can't only think about the future, you also need to focus on what's happening right now." He said reaching for my hand, squeezing it.

I didn't reply. I just kept thinking as I admired the nature outside because I had no idea where I was. Suddenly, he pulled over and stopped the car.

"What are you doing ?" I asked confused.

"You'll see." He said opening the door and got out the car.

He went to the trunk and took an umbrella out. He walked next to my door, opened the umbrella and then the door so I stepped outside the car.

"Let's take a walk." He said while we were both under the umbrella and I nodded.

As we started walking, I grabbed his arm, pulling my body closer to him and he wrapped one of his arms around my shoulders. He's small for a guy but I'm still smaller than him.

All of a sudden, he left me and started spinning away from me.

"Cameron, it's raining, stay closer to me

"Cameron, it's raining, stay closer to me. I need that umbrella."

"Oops." He replied smirking as he walked away.

I started walking faster but he did the same, laughing. He runs way faster than me, so this is kinda pointless. When he was already far enough, he stopped and threw the umbrella down the hill.

He looked at me and smiled. Little bitch.

"I'm gonna kill you, my hair is going to be the biggest mess ever." I said stepping next to him and then hit his chest.

"Don't worry about it now. Live the moment." He replied with his arms up.

"I don't really know how to enjoy it since it's raining a lot..." I said looking around.

"Oh come on." He said grabbing my hand and then started spinning us around.

"Cameron, I'm getting dizzy." I was laughing so hard than I couldn't almost breathe. "I'm serious, Cam!"

For some reason, this made him stop, looking surprised.

"What?" I asked confused.

"You called me Cam, you never call me Cam."

"Oh, I don't know what happened..."

"Keep doing it, I love when people call me Cam."

I honestly don't know why I only started calling him Cam now...I guess it's because I realized that he's not anymore Cameron my neighbor or my school partner...he's just my Cam.

"Cameron..." I started but he glared. "I'm sorry. Cam, can I ask you something ?"

"Hm...sure."

"What are we, in your opinion?"

He stayed quite for a while thinking...It's like there's nothing that can describe us.

"I could say that we are friends with benefits because, well, the benefits happen pretty often. But I feel like that is something with no strings attached, when no one has feelings and they just want to have fun and obviously, I have feelings for you and I guess you also do."

"You're right." I replied as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

With this thumb, he tried to clean the drops from my cheek but it was still raining. Useless but cute.

"I would say that we are in an experience."

"Experience?" I asked chuckling and he nodded.

"Yeah, we're trying to see if this works before something official. We're like in a pre-relationship because we are emotionally involved."

"Oh, that makes sense...you're smart."

"Surprising right! You won the lottery, I'm smart, funny and adorable."

"Okay Cam, shut up." I said trying to remove arms but nothing.

"I will." He replied grabbing my chin and then kissed me.

Typical movie scene. The rain glided through the air as he held me tight and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I can't help but smile through the kiss.

But this is not a movie but his phone to start ringing. He groaned and our lips pulled apart. He took his phone off his packet and looked down.

"They're here."

And by they, he meant, Kylie and Aaron because we're going to spend our break all together here, in New York.

"Let's go." I said leaving his arms and walked to back to car.

He walked next to me and hugged me from behind as we kept walking.

"And now with them...?" He asked and I knew exactly what he meant.

"Let's just keep this between us by now." I said and he nodded.
