Chapter 4: Getting a Pet..s

My mom and I have started going to church every Sunday, and to tell you the truth I love it. In the morning my mom said After church she would take me to look at pets.

As soon as we got out of church I rushed to the exit with a grasp of my moms arm. My mom laughed and said,"You're excited aren't you?"

"Yes!" I replied.

When we got to the pet shop, which is in our hotel, I ran to look at the kittens. There was white, black, orange, and grey ones. I looked for a while, than one noticed me and walked up to the glass door. I looked at it's small orange paws. It was a misfit from the rest of the kittens, but just perfect for me and my mom.

After a little while I went to see the dogs, but only found puppies. They looked at me with their cute puppy dog eyes. After a second look I noticed that one of them was limping because it only had three legs. At that moment I knew it was the right puppy for me.

After I was done looking at the pets, my mom asked me if I was interested in anything. I told her that I liked the kitten and the three legged puppy.

She looked at both of them for a second than said, "I guess we will have to get them both!" with a huge smile on her face. I jumped up and down with happiness, as she told the lady to send them up to our room.

Later that day my mom made dinner and I went to walk my dog. I have not made a decision on my puppy's name, but I named my cat Tiger.

When I got home from walking my puppy, my mom said, "I got a good name for your puppy,"

"which is," I replied,

"Maggie!" she said.

"That's perfect, for now on her name is Maggie."
