Chapter 8: The Dance

The dance is tonight and Amy and I are all dressed up. "I will walk behind you so I don't get in the way of you and Shane flirting," Amy said with a smirk on her face

"We're just friends" I replied

"He said it was a date!"

My face blushed, but I heard knocking on the door and said, "that must be Shane, bye. As Shane walked in he grabbed me by the hand and we went to the dance.

Later on at the dance I saw Amy and went over to talk to her. "Amy, are you ok?"

"Yeah, what makes you say that?" She said looking dizzy

"Ok, but I'm going to keep an eye on you!"

"Ok, ok! Just relax and have some grape juice" she said with a little laugh handing me a cup.

After a while I started to get dizzy from drinking so much grape juice, i never liked grape juice because it was to sweet.

On the last dance Shane looked at me with his big brown eyes and then he reached in for a kiss. It was the first time that I had ever kissed anyone.

As Shane walked me home he started to laugh, "I can't believe you drank so much juice,"

"Yeah, you should've seen Amy, she still is drinking grape juice, we'll I mean it was the only drink they had and it was hot in there so..." We laughed until we got to my hotel room, we said goodbye and then I went inside.

"How was the dance" my mom asked

"Great I had a lot of fun"

"That's good, umm do you think you could call Amy over for a sleepover because they want me down at Fancy Foods for a late night shift."

"Sure, no problem" I said picking up the phone.

When Amy got to my room my mom left. Amy and me talked and watched a couple of movies. We decided that we were gonna go shopping since to mall was open twenty-four hours.

When we arrived to the mall we went to Lacey's Clothes. We shopped all night and enjoyed it. I just didn't want it to end.
