Chapter 5: Meeting New People
Right now I am walking Maggie and she is just the cutest thing. She always wants to play at the beach and so I brought my frisbee. As was throwing the frisbee, three girls walked up to me and introduced themselves. One of them said, "Hi, my name is Amy and these are my friends Carrie and Kate."
I answered back, "Hi my name is Lacey." After that they asked if they could pet Maggie and of coarse I let them. We all started playing frisbee and we all stunk at it. We would start laughing after we failed at throwing the frisbee.
"Lacey," Amy said, "Where do you live?"
"Do you see that hotel right there?" I said pointing at it,
"yes," she said,
"that's where I live."
And with a glimmer in all of their eyes Kate said with excitement, "that's where we live too!"
"We?" I said
"Yeah our moms are friends"
"Oh, I thought you guys were sisters or something. Do you want to come over?" I said
"Sure, we could even have a sleepover!"
"Yeah that would be great, my mom has to work anyways." I replied
"Where does your mom work" Amy added on.
"She's a waitress" I exclaimed.
"Cool, well were going to get ready. See you later."
"Ok, see you soon."
A couple hours later Amy, Carrie, and Kate arrived.
"It's nice to meet you," my mom said to my friends, "now you girls have fun I have to head off to work, see you later."
When my mom left we got our candy and movies out. Carrie had brought a movie called Sarah The Egyptian Girl. We decided that we were going to watch the movie when it gets dark. First we played truth or dare. When it was my turn I picked dare and I was dared to open the window and scream at a random person and say something embarrassing about me.
Throwback to dare.
"I dare you to..." Kate started to say, "yell out the window at somebody that you eat a gallon of ice cream every nigh in memory of the ice cream man." She giggled."Are we in first grade?" I started to laugh as I walked over to the window. I spotted the boy about 17 with blond hair and tan skin and started to yell, "Excuse me!" He looked at me, "I just thought that you should know that I eat a gallon of ice cream every night in memory of the ice cream man." I started to burst out laughing.
"Really?" I was a little surprised he responded, "I think he feels pretty respected." He chuckled.
"Yeah."
"Haha, what your name?"
"Lacey, yours?"
"Oliver. Well I got to go, maybe I'll see you around sometime. Bye Lacey."
"Maybe, bye."
After we were done playing, it was getting dark so we started the movie. Towards the end of the movie Carrie and Kate fell asleep. Amy and me talked for a while, but then we thought we should prank them!
Amy went to find a feather, while I was getting the shaving cream. I slowly pulled out Kate's arm while Amy pulled out Carrie's. I put whipped cream in Kate's hand than tossed the whipped cream to Amy. After that we both got a feather and tickled them on their noses and at the same time, they both smacked the hand with whipped cream on their faces and we all started laughing.
In the morning they left and my teacher came over. My teacher told me she could only stay for forty five minutes, which I liked. I loved my new life in Hawaii.
