Chapter 15: When Will it End?

The police arrive and arrest the man who is still knocked out from my base skills. I really don't know what I'm going to tell my mom, but I do know she is going to freak out. I'm really trying hard to keep my cool but I really don't understand what just happened and the guy that I SAVED hasn't said a word since I spoke to the police. The man had a worried look like he still wasn't safe but at the same time he look relieved so I just think it's just a natural look for him. "You did a good thing Calling the police, you saved this mans life!" The police man said interrupting my thoughts,

"Thanks" I replied as they walked out.

"My name is Walter. Your really a brave girl, I have always had trouble finding people to watch my girls and this might be to sudden but my wife is very sick and is due for a baby net month, so I was wondering if you could watch all three of them while I'm working? I'll pay you 10 dollars an hour."

"I would love to, any day I will be happy to watch them and by the way my name is Lacey." I Said. I was a babysitter after all and my pets love little kids.
"Thank you, I'm actually going on a business trip this weekend and you could watch them, they go to bed with no trouble and they love movies."
"Sure."

"Ok great, I will drop them off Friday at 6 am!" I couldn't wake up that early, but I guess I will have to.

"See you then" I said.

"Ok bye." He left and I just had a panic attack and I decided to go to the grocery shop and get food for the because it's Wednesday and I have no food.

When my mom arrived home she gave me a big hug and told me she heard what had happened and that she was so proud. I broke the news about watching the children and immediately she looked guilty,
"Oh honey that's great, but I won't be able to help."

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"I'm going to visit a friend in Colorado and I was going to see if someone could watch you.."

"Mom I'll be fine."

"Ok, well I'm leaving Thursday night and coming home next Thursday, I love you so much!"

"I love you too mom" I said as she went to cook dinner. I can't believe I'm watching two kids alone!
