Kaldur pov

Rain was pouring outside the mountain when Robin came in, soaking wet, and looking angry.

"What has happened,  my friend?" I asked when he sat down next to me on the couch, grumbling to himself.

"Your friend is a jerk,  you know." He said. I raised my eyebrow.

"I assume you are talking about Perceus?" I asked.

Robin told his story about what happened at the cave.

"And now you need us to help you find him? Didn't I tell you not to underestimate him? He is a very powerful being. Believe me, I've seen him in action. You do not want him as an enemy"

"It's Batman's orders. We don't want him as an enemy. We have to stop him from accidentally joining the wrong side."

"Percy isn't stupid....okay maybe he is a little stupid,  but he has the right to choose which side he is on. If he doesn't choose our side, that would be unfortunate, but If we try to force him Into our lives, we will ruin our chances of befriending him. And if the public finds out about his abilities, chaos will erupt. Panic will spread and Percy will be held in Arkham Asylum without him actually doing something wrong-" I warned, but was soon cut off by an iris message appearing.

Percy layed there in the shadow of a tree, gasping for breath and a piece of shrapnel stuck in his abdomen.

"Hey Kaldur,  I have a little problem." He said painfully.

"What happened?" I growled.

"It doesn't matter. I told you I'd call if I need your help. I am calling now because I need your help." He groaned.

"Where are you?" I asked with a little more concern.

"That's the problem. I Don't know where I am. I vapour travelled and got sidetracked. I had to stop,  but then an explosion went off and, well, you can see what exactly happened next. " he gestured to his abdomen.

"Okay, I'll try to get to you as soon as I can. For now, you just need to try to get the piece of metal out of you and apply pressure to it. I'm calling the team."

"Forget I called then." He snapped. I looked at him strangely. He sighed.

"If I have to look at another one of your jerky friends,  I am going to throw up." His face suddenly went pale as he suddenly looked from side to side and spotted something or someone.

"Look, get here as fast as you can and don't bring the team with you. Please. I am asking my friend, Kaldur'ahm,  not the sidekick leader." The he swiped his hands through the iris message and ended it.

I turned around to face the team staring at me.

"I...I have to go." I stammered and grabbed my utility belt.

"We have to help." Connor said. He had a frown on his face and his arms crossed.

"No. You heard what Percy said. He doesn't want to see any of you."

"Then we stay out of sight." Megan said.

"No, if percy sees you, he will never trust me again. He has to know that he can still trust his best friend. We can't force him into anything. We need to gain his trust. And tazing  him in  the neck won't earn us any brownie points." I looked directly at  Robin when I said that last sentence.

Robin didn't look ashamed of himself.  He merely shrugged and said, " Batman's orders."

I looked away. " I have to go." Then I turned around and left the mountain, using water senses to search for my former best friend.

Percy Pov

Do I really have to explain everything about what happened be fore I called Kaldur?

Ugh. Fine.

So after I ended up In some garden,  I figured I had to get farther away in order not to get caught.

So a tried to vapour travel again.

Big mistake.

I didn't get enough sleep in the past few days, so had to stop to catch my breath at random places.

The first two times I ended up in fountains near universities and huge organisation buildings.

The third time I stopped at the Wayne Industries and then a floor exploded.

Long story short, I was sent flying with pieces of debris all around me, and no, I was not left uninjured.

A piece of scrap metal decided that it was a good day to stab me, so it did exactly that. It embedded itself in my abdomen and stayed there.

I landed next to a tree in the shadows of the night.

Good, now I have that part over.

It couldn't be a coincidence that a building explodes right next to me right when I stop, could it?

I saw a silhouette of somebody walking toward me with two swords behind his back.

I quickly called Kaldur for help before the man came and stood in front of me.

"Who are you?" I asked urgently. The man didn't answer. He just knelt down and looked at the wound.

He wore a dark suit, guns and an orange and black mask

Then he gently touched the piece of metal and pulled it out,  surprising me with the amount of pain it caused.

I yelled.

"It's either that or death. What do you choose,  boy?" The man snapped.

"Who are you?" I asked again on the brink of consciousness.
"It doesn't matter. Just know that I am helping you, so now you owe me." He said before I blacked out.

Hey guys! Gh0stwr1t3r here,

I am sooo sorry I haven't updated for a long time. I almost broke my finger on Tuesday so I am finding it difficult to write and type at the moment.  I am psyched for this story,  Because this is something I have never done before.  I'm not telling you what it is, because otherwise everything will be ruined for you. The first chapter of Zach Wells and the Celtic gods is published. I am still working on the second chapter and it will soon be out there. I'm gonna need a lot of support with the new book, because my originals don't always last any longer than four chapters. So, do me a favor and go read it, vote and comment.  It will mean a lot for me.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed the chappy.

Keep voting and commenting and

NEVER STOP BEING AWESOME!

Gh0stwr1t3r out!
