Ruby had a bad feeling as she lead Weiss and Yang through the desecrated streets. Buildings long forgotten lined either side of the street. For once in her life, Ruby didn't want to fight, she just wanted to find Jet. The redhead glanced back at her teammates. Weiss looked back at her, her face reflecting what Ruby was feeling. However, she couldn't quite tell what her sister was feeling. The blonde's expression was blank, impossible to read.

The trio rounded the corner and the collapsed building came into view. Weiss gasped and covered her mouth. Yang's eyes narrowed and she strode forward. Ruby put a hand on Weiss's shoulder.

"He made it out" she assured the heiress. She knew that he did.

The three made there way through the abandoned area and to the rubble. Wordlessly they began to search for clues of their friend's whereabouts.

After almost an hour their fruitless search was interrupted. A sudden noise alerted the teens. A Beowulf leaped at Weiss before the girl could react. Yang attacked, easily sending the creature into a building. More and more Grimm began to appear, coming from behind buildings and out of alleyways. Ursas, Beowulfs, and even Nevermores had begun to circle above. Ruby tried to regroup with Weiss and Yang, who were now facing down a pack, but was cut off by a King Taijitu. Both heads lashed out at her one after the other, not giving her a chance to counterattack. She zigzaged back and forth backwards with her semblance, narrowly avoiding every fang. She returned fire and blinded the black one, but the other lashed out and almost got her arm. It was so close it tore open her sleeve. Weiss saw this and dashed over to the younger girl's side, leaving Yang to pummel the remaining Ursa. The silver haired girl slashed the white head to pieces. Ruby took the opening and drove Crescent Rose into the remaining head. It fell lifeless and began to dissipate, but the fight was far from finished. A Nevermore swooped down at Weiss, but Yang drove it off course with a shotgun blast from her Ember Cecilias. The three retreated up the street, only to be cut off by a group of Boarbatusk. The numbers on the ground continued to increase, but they couldn't get and opening do to the Nevermores' constant assault. Now the Beowulfs had caught up and the Ursa weren't far behind. It was all the girls could do to keep moving. Their problem was suddenly fixed when a Deathstalker suddenly crashed through a building and blindsided the Beowulfs as it charged the trio. However, the girls had no time to react. There was a moment of fear and then, nothing the Deathstalker collapsed, a familiar black weapon logged in it's eyes. There was a tug on the ribbon and Blake came out of nowhere to catch her weapon.

"Sorry I'm late" she said. "It took me a while to find you."

"I think you're just in time" Weiss replied with a smile. Yang pushed back a some of rhe Boarbatusk with a few shots.

"What's the plan, sis?" asked the blonde.

"It's gonna sound crazy, but I think we should split up" Ruby replied, killing a Beowulf.

"It is crazy" Weiss grunted, blocking strikes from another. "You're insane."

"Hear me out" pleaded the younger girl as she drove Crescent Rose through another. "Right now we're surrounded, sitting ducks. If Weiss and I lead the Ursas and Beowolves away, Yang and Blake can find cover." She was interrupted as a Nevermore dove down at them. Blake shot out one of it's wings and Weiss finished it with a fire attack.

"And then what?" Blake asked, fending off a Boarbatusk.

"We take out the Nevermores and regroup, bottle-neck them, and try not to die" Ruby replied.

"Are you sure it will work?" Yang asked.

"It's not like any of us have any better ideas" Weiss panted, smiling over at Ruby. "Lead the way." The redhead nodded, and Weiss unleashed a stream of fire that parted the mass of Grim. Blake and Yang embraced and the brunette swung them away with Gambol Shrowd. Ruby scooped Weiss into her arms.
