Part 26 : "It's not always necessary to be strong, but to feel strong."

            Elizabeth’s P.O.V:

I can’t believe it. It’s him – Michael – standing right in front of me. He looks just the same as he was before kidnapping; the only different is his blue eyes. They were so bright and shining with life and love – his love for me; now they are just there, passive, haunted, and so lifeless. I want to reach out and touch him, grab him so he won’t ever leave my side again, but I know it’s not that easy. There’s a wicked power’s wrapping around him; it’s so strong that I feel it deep inside my very bones.

“Michael!” I call out for him, even though he’s standing just few feet away.

He looks at me without any recognition, as if I’m nobody to him. My heart breaks inside; we’re soul mate, we’re supposed to be pull toward each other even just one glance of an eye. My wolf howls painfully; she’s been waiting to find him, to get him back, but now it’s like this.

“Well well well! Look who’s here. Damn, gotta admit, you’re pretty good at find us b*tch. I thought no one would know this place.” Lauren sneers at me while walking toward Michael, snaking one of her arms behind his back.

“Too bad, now I’m here. And I come to take Michael back with me, whether you like it or not.” I say with all the confidence I have in me. This is my fight for me, for Michael, for both of us.

“Who do you think you are? A mere she-wolf like you think you can fight me? Didn’t you learn your lesson last time? Just a wave of my hand would send you flying.” She smirks

I know that I can’t fight her by myself; she’s a half witch, even only half but she’s really powerful. Just look at Michael, he’s an Alpha next in line and a really strong werewolf, yet he’s still under Lauren’s control.

I don’t want to show any fear toward her, so I tell her, “no matter how strong you are, you won’t be able to keep us apart. We are true soul mate; we love each other until death keeps us apart. You’re using your power to bewitch him, there’s no love between you and him whatsoever. He just stays with you because you spellbind him.”

“Shut up b*tch!” she yells and as the same time, she pulls me inside the cottage with her power flows from her hands, then she throws me into the nearest wall. Man, she must have a passion for throwing people to the walls, last time I was knocked out just like this. I collapse on the wooden floor. As I’m about to get up my feet, she wraps an invisible robe around my body and traps me to the wall.

She walks toward me with Michael tailing behind her. “Know your place b*tch. This is my house, just a snap of my fingers then your pretty little head will say good bye to your body.” With that said, she harshly yanks my hair backward. “Gotta say, you’re quite pretty, but there’s no way you can win and I would never let him go now that I have him.” She slaps the day light out of me. Good thing I’m trapped or I would fall to her feet right now.

Suddenly, I feel a new presence in the room as the air’s shifted; something or someone is appearing. Then I swiftly fall on the floor ‘cause the Lauren’s wrap around me is abruptly dissipated.

“How dare you slap her?” comes from a very angry voice yet really familiar.

I hear footsteps coming closer as I get back on my feet. Looking for the source of the voice, I see Ryan, my little hero, standing there in all the glory; there’s a really strong power radiates off of him that perishes all the wickedness inside the cottage.

“Who the hell are you?” Lauren asks Ryan, confusion is plain on her face.

“You don’t need to know who I am.” Ryan answers her. Then he turns toward and says, “Sis, I will strip down her power, but I can only do that for a period of time, probably ten minutes or so. I want you to use this time wisely to fight with her. If and only if you beat her, that’s when her hold on Michael will be dissolved.” I hear his wolf quickly explains in my head.

Then without hesitant, Ryan steps in front of Lauren, he lifts his hand up; it looks like he’s grabbing something invisible in the air. Lauren is caught by surprised; she grasps and catches the chair nearby to support herself.

“What have you done?” She shrieks out while trying to attack Ryan. I jump in between and block her scratch. Damn, it hurts like hell. I got a cut from below my left ear stretches to my collarbone. Lauren now shifts into her wolf; it’s a black wolf with some weird mark on its back. So I shift into mine.

I see Ryan swiftly pulls Michael to a side as he looks so worried for Lauren instead of me. It kills me inside to see him acts like that toward her. Taking the pain that’s stabbing in my chest, I use it to fuel my moves to fight her. I don’t need to be strong, as long as I can feel strong then that’s enough to take her down. We – her wolf and mine – circle each other. She’s looking for my weakness as I’m looking for hers, then it all happens so fast. She tries to go for my neck as it was where she scratched me before. I barely dodge her move; I have to take her down as fast as I can before Ryan can’t strip Lauren’s power any longer. Thanks to all the training that Alex and Joey taught me, they’re paying off. I see her weakness now; I bite her front left leg, which makes her loses balance and falls on the floor. Without any delay, I jump on top of her to prevent her from getting back up. I bare my teeth at her neck, but I don’t want to kill her. I just need Michael to be free and need her to stay away from us forever.

I hear Ryan’s voice as I keep close eyes on Lauren and my pawn still keeps her laying there. “Sis, it worked. Michael just passed out; deal to the charm around has been lifted. He needs to be unconscious so that his wolf can come back to him.”

I command Lauren to shift back to her human form since she’s now defeated, she has to listen to me. I know that her witch power will come back soon; I have to do something so that she won’t be able to charm Michael or any one again.

As Lauren and I finished putting our clothes back on, I call Ryan over to hand her over to him; he will be able to deal with her. My not only concern but top priority is Michael. I quickly go to his side while he still blacking out on the floor. He looks so peaceful with his face relaxes, there’s some facial hair on his chin and around his lips poking out; two thin black lines under his eyes must be from the temporary separation of him and his wolf. I run my fingers through his soft brown hair; I’ve missed him so much.

I was about to lean down and give him a peck on his forehead; Michael opens his eyes and stares at me.

“Who are you?”  He asks me gruffly while looking at me as if I’m some creeps.

It feels like a slap in the face, or like someone just throws a bucket full of water on you, or a damn bird decides to take #2 while flying over you. That how surprised, angry, and hurt I feel at this moment. My mate who I just fought for say what?
