Elizabeth's P.O.V:
Walking up to my room, I find Ariel is laying on my bed, looking at something on her iPhone. We’re basically roommate now; she’s carried a lot of her stuff over to my room. I don’t mind at all, I’m really glad in fact. We have so much fun together: doing our nails, talking about boys, school, fashion, books that we like on Wattpad… One night she’s told me about Michael since I was really curious about him. She filled me in that he had a mate but his mate cheated on him with his friend. He banished her out of the pack and now he’s in England. What he has gone through was horrible, I wouldn’t wish that on my enemy.
Ariel looks up from her phone, “What’s up sis? You look excited.” She asks me, I can tell that her curiosity is about to explode.
“I’m coming to work with you at the sushi bar!” I almost scream. She’s so thrill that she jumps up the bed and hugs me.
“OMG Liz! I can’t wait. Gosh it’s so boring working there, even worse when I have to work with Alex and Joey. But now that you’re going to be there with me, woo hoo! We are so gonna have lots of fun.” She’s grinning so wide that I’m afraid her face might slit open.
“Chillax Ari. Calm yourself down or I will have to help you glue your mouth back on your pretty face.” I tease her a bit.
I hear Luna’s voice interrupts us through our mind link, “Girls, go down for dinner.” We’re practically skipping down to the kitchen like five year old kids. Other people look at us questioning, but we’re just so happy so we don’t pay any mind.
We begin to eat. These tacos are the best that I’ve ever had, no wonder Alex and Joey attack them like crazy. When we’re about to finish dinner, Alpha An. suddenly calls out for a pack meeting. What’s going on?
The pack gathers around in the meeting room next to the kitchen, everyone else is also surprise about the news, whispers and small talks here and there.
“Silent!” Alpha Anderson commands, all at once the whole room becomes quiet; I swear I can hear a pin drop. No one dares to make a noise.
He starts speaking. “The reason for this sudden pack meeting is because it relates to our newest pack member Elizabeth Sparks.” All eyes abruptly fix on me. My face turn to the shade of a tomato, gosh, I just want to hide somewhere. Oh hold on a second! Why is it relates to me?
Alpha An. must see how uncomfortable I am at the moment and also the worry look on my face so he continues. “As you all know that Elizabeth ran away from her abusive pack and came here. We have accepted her into our Crimson Knights Pack, there for; she’s one of us now. However, her old Alpha Frost is sending out hunters to look for her and he wants her back. I’ve got reports from our pack members as well as from sources outside of state that he won’t give up until he finds her.” He breaks his speech, allowing people to comment on the matter.
“He can’t do that!” someone shouts out.
“We have to protect her, she’s one of us.” Another person speaks up.
“She’s family now; we can’t let them take her.” Coming from a she-wolf.
“We will bit the crap out of whoever dares to touch her.” I hear it loud and clear from Joey and Alex. I turn and look at them, hoping they can see my silent thank-you to them.
“Silent!” Alpha An speaks up. “All of you are right. Elizabeth is one of us now and she has our protection. Attacking one of us is also attacking all of us. We are the strongest pack in America, because we united. Also, I as your Alpha don’t take threat lightly; I am and will make sure that none of my pack member is afraid of some foolish threat from other pack.” Everybody in the room murmurs their agreement.
Alpha An’s eyes scan over the pack and he continues to speak. “But we can’t be careless. Even the strongest can fall for the weakest. Alpha Frost has sent spies scatter everywhere through the states. I also have my information from sources that he is ruthless and will use any type of acts to get to Elizabeth. There for from now on, I want all of you to be at your best on both physical and emotional sides. I will have our Beta Brian trains every pack member starting from tomorrow. No body goes anywhere without anyone knows his or her where about. Do I make myself clear?” He asks with his Alpha power.
“Yes Alpha!” everybody, including myself, speaks at once.
Then he turns to me, “Elizabeth, because you’re his target, so you will have more training than other people. I want you to never go alone anywhere, even just for a run in the wood. Do you understand?” He commands.
“Yes Alpha, I will do as you say.” I bow my head a little to show my respect as well as my understanding of his speech. He just wants me to be safe from that monster and never have to go back to that hell-hole ever again.
“The meeting is now ended. You all can go now.” He dismisses everyone. People start coming over to my side and offer hugs, well wishes, and promises to protect. I’m so overwhelm, once again, I’m engulfed by the caring and loving of this pack. No, not this pack, MY pack. I am a part of my big family.
My eyes are glisten with happy tears that are about to escape. Even the crazy Alpha is looking for me but I’m not afraid, because I know that I have my family to protect me, to lean on and give me courage, every step of the way. And I won't let the crazy Alpha Frost hurts my family.
