Runaway Wolf

Chapter 6

Sage's P.O.V

When we came home last night it was a total and utter mess.

*the night before*

We walked into the front door of the pack house. Everyone was sitting in the living room as if they were waiting for us. "YOU! You did this! That spot was mine! It is mine!" Kaylee began yelling. I swear she gets crazier as the day goes by "First off shut the fuck up, second what the fuck are you talking about?" I ask. Everyone is quiet "You don't know do you?" the crazy bitch whispers. "Um. Sorry I'm not plugged in with the crazy, but no I don't know what your talking about." I reply still highly confused.

"Well our asshole of a father decided that when he dies to be all sentimental and give you the name and power as Alpha of the Night Howl pack." My eye's along with everyone else's popped out of our sockets "N-no! Thats not possible! Ryker is the Alpha. Not me!" I begin to panic. "Your father never gave me the official title of Alpha. He couldn't until he died and he didn't because he was already holding that spot for you." I scoffed "He left this note for you." I take the note. "Why is it already open?" I ask "How do you think we know about you being Alpha?" Kaylee snarled. I rolled my eye's and put a rain cloud over her head "Hey! Get this the fuck off of me!" she yells. I chuckle while reading.

The entire note was basically some sappy ass shit about him being sorry. I still don't understand why he would leave ME the pack. They all hate me. "So thats the reason why your wolf emits so much power" Case whispers "Connor" I whisper to myself "I pull out my phone and call his number.

"Hey babe. Miss me already?" he speaks into the phone. "Yeah yeah. Don't get a big head. I just found out this information about the power everyone keeps talking about. It turns out I'm an Alpha, but you said you felt more than just Alpha power. I need you describe it to me." I say in a rush "Okay. Well when I approached the bar you were emitting some sort of power that made me want to bow in your presence. And it was crazy because I'm an Alpha. You had this power that made me respect you as an Alpha, but one who was almost as powerful as the Moon Goddess. It was like you were royalty." he finishes. "Mom" I whisper. I know everyone else in the room heard since it was extra quiet. "Alright thanks for the help" I say "No problem babe. Anytime" he says "Alright. Goodnight" I then end the call.

"Who was that?" I hear Ryker ask "A friend I met at the club." I reply quickly.
Moon Goddess?
I'm not the Moon Goddess. The Moon Goddess usually has tight security and her power was so strong people automatically dropped to their knees at her presence. Nobody knows or sees her but she's the one who makes our fate. "Did he say something about the Moon Goddess?" Jess asks "Yeah. Something about me being somewhat close to her power. But I don't understand. I'm not the Moon Goddess. I don't know her either. Heck! Nobody knows her.

"Ahh!" I hiss. I was burned by my necklace. I look down to see the silver diamond glowing. "What's happening?" Kaylee asks "I don't know. Mom gave me this necklace the day she left" I reply. "Why is it glowing?" Ryker asks "I have no idea" I rest it back on my chest and sigh. Tonight has been one heck of a night. Turns out I'm an Alpha, my father is dead, and the necklace my mother gave me before she left is glowing on my chest. I think I need some rest. "Umm. I'm gonna go to bed. I'll try and find some answers tomorrow." I say. I get a few 'goodnights' and then I make my way upstairs to bed.

*present time*

As you can see, last night was extremely crazy and now I have to find some answers. I walk into a full kitchen. Everyone's head turns to me. "What?" I ask. "Your stronger" Case whispers "What does that mean?" I look around. No one says anything. "When was the last time you saw your mother Sage?" Case asks "Ten years ago" I reply "Thats when we got a new Moon Goddess" Case whispers "She gave you that necklace" he asks "Yes. But what does that have to do with anything." I say "Have you ever taken it off?" Kev asks this time "No..?" I say as more of a question than an answer "take it off" Case says "What? Why?" I ask "I want to see something" I nod. I begin to unclip it.

But when it slips off I begin to choke and fall to the ground. "What's happening to her?" I hear someone say. Everything begins to look blurry. I'm loosing consciousness. Abruptly the choking stops and I notice my necklace is back on. "What the fuck did this thing just do to me?" I exclaim taking deep breaths. "I-I don't know."  Case says. I begin to say something but I'm interrupted by the knocking at the door.

One of the pack members go to get it. We all get a pack link saying 'she says she's here for Sage' I get up off the floor and Case tells them to let her in. I was fixing my shirt when a firmiliar sent hits the air. You can feel a humongous amount of power enter the house. Everyone left and right begin to bow their heads. "What's happening?" Case asks with his head bended. "I don't know" I look up from Case to see "Mom?"
