Chapter 22

Cecilia's P.O.V

"What do you want?" I answer darkly. "Nothing. Can't your mate decide to check in on you since you did say you would be back." He chuckles like this is a joke. "I'm not coming back." I state firmly. "Your not what?" Jared growls. "I said I'm not coming back." I state with a surge of confidence. "You better be going on the next source of transportation and making your way back here or else your punishment will be even more gruesome this time around." I stand my ground as I push out these last few words. "Goodbye Jared. You can go and  politely fuck yourself."
"Cecil--" I hang up the phone.

I smile at my courageousness. I've never been able to stick up to him before. I giggle as I make my way to the bathroom feeling giddy as ever.

*That night*

Everything was normal today. We all stayed in and watched movies. My favourite was mean girls. An obvious all time classic.

I'm now in my room scheming up a plan on how to take Sage and her mother down. I already have people willing to fight with me, but I need to think this through our else it could be a disaster.

I'm pulled from my thoughts by the sound of my phone ringing. I wonder who that could be?

Ryker's P.O.V

I woke up late at night to Sage puking again. I sort've feel bad that she's always sick, but I know the outcome will be worth it. She's already forming a baby bump. In about a week it will become visible.

Sage fell back asleep hours ago, but I haven't been able to. I have too much on my mind to sleep. I decide to get some water. Maybe it'll help me sleep. I walk down tree hall only to stop by a room where a voice is coming from. Out sound like they're on the phone. Who else would be up this early? I follow the sound of tree voice to reach Cecilia's door. Of course. I feel as if she's always watching us carefully. Almost as if she's tryna gain information and I don't like it one bit. In a swift decision I decide to stay put and listen.

"What do you mean inventories are low? I ordered tons of amo and medical aid months ago." Amo? What do need amo for? I hear Cecilia say a couple of uh- huhs and okays. "No. We won't use force just yet. Let me gain a little more of their trust. It won't be long before I have the information I need to fulfill my duty." She speaks a little more, but nothing important enough.

Who does she need to get closer to? Us? I need to tell Sage about this in the morning, but for now I'm forgetting the water and going back to my bed.

Sage's P.O.V

"What do you mean by 'Make an attack on us'?" I ask Ryker. All morning after breakfast he's been trying to tell me, and the gang, some crap about how Cecilia may be setting up an army to attack us. "Cecilia's a nice girl. Why would you think that?" Jess asks him. "I got up last night to get some water and while I was waking past Cecilia's room I heard her taking. Now seeing as it is 3 am, I was curious and wanted to know what was so important. I heard her taking about amo, attacking, gaining information, inventories, and fufilling some mission. I just don't think we should trust get so easily. Point. Blank. Period." Everyone starts quiet examining tree infiltration they just received.

"Alright Ryker. We understand. We will be keeping a closer eye on Cecilia from now on." Case says deeply breathing in. "Keep a closer eye? We need to get her out of here before she does anything damaging." Ryker exclaims and I begin to comfort him with a hug. "I'm sorry Ryker but without proper evidence we can't kick her out of the pack. Besides what happens if what you heard was just a mis understanding or maybe it wasn't and it causes her to attack before we are prepared. We can't risk either, so for now, Cecilia will stay in the pack." Case finishes his explanation. "Fine. But don't expect me to trust her anytime soon." Ryker then storms out the room without another word.

Cecilia's P.O.V

Looks like I have a threat to eliminate. That Ryker dude is gonna ruin this for me and I've worked too long and too hard for him to mess this all up. Now I just gotta figure out how. I mean I could lure him into a trap using Sage as bait, but I already plan on using her as bait for the Moon Goddess. I guess I could postpone the attack and use their child.  I bet you either of them would risk anything for their new child, which just means the stakes are higher.

Since Sage is almost a month pregnant that leaves me with two months of preparation.

I will get my revenge my dearest Ryker. Just you wait and see.

Sorry this charter is so short, but I felt that if I added more it would ruin three perfect ending I have right there ^^^.
