Chapter 20

Sage's P.O.V

I wake up bright and early feeling great. I can feel the warmth of the sun showing through the cracks in the curtains. I'm feeling refreshed and energetic. I hop up from the need after noticing Ryker is not next to me. I walk into the bathroom and decide to shower. As I am about to get undressed I begin to feel queasy. Before I know it, I'm sitting in front of the toilet puking my guts out. What the actual fuck? Did I catch that sickness from Matt? I swear to my mom that if he gave me this I'll ring his neck.

"Babe?" I hear Ryker voice outside the door. "Sage you okay?" Before I can respond I'm hurling some more. Where the hell is all this food coming from? Ryker busts in the bathroom and rushes to my side. "What's wrong baby? Are you okay? Are you sick? Did you catch Matt's cold. That asshole." He begins to mutter. I chuckle half heartedly. "I'm fine babe. I probably just ate something bad or something. It's nothing serious." He sighs a breath of relief. "Just making sure. Can't have anything happening to my baby." He chuckles and I blush furiously. He kisses me on the nose then on the cheek and finally on my lips, grimacing at the taste.

"Well. Breakfast is made. Bacon, waffles, pancakes, toast, and eggs." He sets after we break apart. "Sounds delicious. I'm gone freshen up and I'll be out in a second." I tell him missing his nose. I ignore his sexual comments as he walks out the door and begin my shower.

I guess that was just some nausea from all the stress lately. I mean finding out I'm a soon- to- be Moon Goddess and having to live up to the name is pretty crazy. I finish my shower in a timely matter and begin to get dressed. Since we don't have anything important to do today, besides show Cecilia around the pack house, I put on a sweatshirt and a pair of sweatpants.

Once I finish blow drying and brushing the knots out of my head, I make way to the kitchen. "Good morning sleepy head!" Alex loudly greets me "Good morning Alex. Having a good morning.... or had a good night." I mumble the least part, but she still hears me and slaps me on the arm "rude." Is all she says. I laugh and finish making my breakfast plate sitting next to Ryker. "Hey babe. Ready to eat?" He smiles brightly. My stomach grumbles loudly, so much so the whole table turns to me "I'm starving." I stare and everyone's laughs. "Of course you are." Faith jokes and I roll my eyes.

Breakfast is uneventful besides the fact that I ate even more than usual and people noticed. Ryker even asked me if I was okay. I just blushed and put my fork down, wiping my mouth.

We're all now in the living room waiting for Cecilia to get here. I've been feeling sort've off and sickly. My stomach grumbles lightly, but enough to make me blush when Jess looks at me curiously. It grumbles again bringing me to Alex's and Faith's attention. Soon enough everyone's looking at me. "Are you still hungry?" Justin (A/N: Alex's mate) asks. I mumble a brief "no." As my face burns with embarrassment.

Abruptly Faith stands up with the rest of the girls including the guys mates. "Alright. Well us girls are gonna go paint nails and do hair and talk about blood oozing from our- -" she's cut off my Gabe "Alright! Alright! You don't want us to listen in. Goddess. You have to be so graffic?" We all laugh and I follow everyone out after giving Ryker a kiss on the cheek.

We decide to go to Case's and Kat's room because it's the biggest. We all get our spots on the bed, and couch. "Did we really come I here to talk about our ladies days? If we did then is like to leave." Steph (A/N: Kev's mate) giggles. "No we didn't." Faith turns to me "We came to talk about you." She points her dainty manicured finger at me "Me? Why?" She rolls her eyes like it's obvious. "Stop playing with us Sage and tell us the truth." She smirks "The truth? I would like to know... what the heck are you talking about." Her face twist into a look of confusion. "You mean you don't know?" I shake my head slowly. "What do I not know?" She begins to truth and fidget "What. Don't. I. Know." I begin to get anxious "That your pregnant of course." Olivia (A/N: Gabe's mate) states. She's always been the one with no filter. Just like Gabe. "What the fuck!?" I exclaim. "I'm guessing you didn't know." Alex states scratching her head. "Ha! You all are crazy! I am not pregnant!" I lower my voice on the last part. "It's Obvious Sage. We know you threw up this morning. Ryker told us. And then your eating a lot of food.. more than usual. And then your stomach is grumbling but your not hungry... these are all signs of pregnancy." Jess says.

I begin to feel dizzy. I hold onto the bed post, since I got up from that crazy accusation. "Are you okay?" I hear someone say, but my hearing is fading as well as my eyesight. "Sage!?" Is the last I hear before I black out.

/5 hours later/

Where the hell am I? It's so dark. I can't see anything or hear anything. And man am I hungry.

I stop my questioning once I hear familiar voices. "Is she okay? What happened. Does she need anymore medical attention?"
I immediately know the frazzled voice is Ryker. "Please calm down Alpha Ryker. Sage is absolutely fine. She just fainted from shock and lack of nutrition." Lack of nutrition? What the hell does that mean? I begin to try to wiggle out of my sleep.

Gosh this is weird. I can feel, smell, and hear everything. I begin at my finger tips. I begin to think about my fingers moving and I begin to feel my muscles stretch and I become less tense. "S-Sage?" I hear Ryker's voice. "Move your fingers again baby. Please try for me." His words seem to send a bolt of confidence and determination through me.

This time I try to open my eyes. I try and concentrate on the want--the need to see his beautiful ocean blue eyes. Soon enough, with much strain, my eyes flutter open.

I open them to his beautiful face staring down at me with relief written all over his face. "Hey baby. Are you okay? Your not hurt or anything right? Gosh I'm so happy your okay." He rambles. I dryly chuckle which turns into a cough. Ryker hands me a cup of water, that I thankfully drink. "I'm fine Ryker. I'm perfectly fine." I smile at him and he smiles back.

I soon come to the realization that we're not alone. I look over to the doctor. "Hello Your Highness-" I stop him right there. I don't want anyone in my pack calling me that. They aren't strangers, they're family. "Just Sage." He nods. "Hello Sage. I am Doctor Humphrey and I'll be taking care of you today." He gives me his hand to shake which I willfully do. "Now, we have some things to talk about." I nod. "Well first I must tell you the reason you passed out. Number one, shock. Whatever you were talking about with the girls shocked you. When we checked your heart and blood, you were showing signs of immense stress that me up to shock." This makes sense. I mean I was already stressed about how I'm the heir to the throne, then I have to go through intense training, and the girls, wrongly by the way, accusing me of being pregnant.

"Next is lack of nutrition." He states. I don't understand this one. I mean, I ate an entire buffet before I passed out. "I know your probably wondering how that makes sense but it leads me to the last reason. I didn't tell Alpha Ryker because I'm sure you both wanna be together when you hear this news." He pauses and breaks into a smile.

"Sage, Your pregnant."
