Chapter 24

Sage's P.O.V

It's been about two weeks since my big blowout that night and Ryker telling me everything will be fine. I am so glad to be going through this pregnancy with him and only him. What can I say,  he's my rock. I don't think I'd be ready to handle this great responsibility if I didn't know I had Ryker by my side. He's always there for me and it warns my heart to know that he wants us, our family,  to exist as much as I do.

"Hey babe everyone's setting up the yard.  You wanna come watch?" Ryker asks me, which I agree to do. Speaking of things that warm my heart, it does truly warm me to say that today is the day of our gender reveal party.

I am honestly to most excited I've ever been in my entire life. Today I'm going to find out the gender of my baby and I can't be anymore excited than I am now. This is it, the beginning of my life, and I could be me happy.

I walk out of the pack house and make my way to the backyard. "Honey! You look beautiful!" My mother walks up to me and gives me a big hug.  "Look at you looking all pregnant and glowing! God I'm so happy! I'm gonna be a grandma!" I laugh as she squeals like a child. She was lying about me looking pregnant though. I was huge. I'm supposed to be going into labor in about a month and maybe a week away from now. 

I walk over to the rest of the gang to see them chatting it up with Connor and his mate. "Connor!" I exclaim, "Baby momma!" We hug each other tight. "How are you!? You look so big! My future God child is in there! I can't wait to meet him or her." I laugh at his excitement before turning to his mate. "Hi. I'm Max. Congratulations!" Max says and give me a big hug. "Thank you! It's so good to finally meet you. Connor honestly never shuts up about you." Connor flats at me as I giggle. "You better be glad your pregnant." He states pointing at me." I laugh while his mate chuckles while holding him.

"How's the baby mama doing!?" Kev says moving Connor warning him a glare. "Awesome and according to my mother, glowing." I brush my hands across my face for dramatic effect. "I still don't understand how you can be that big with one child. Maybe this is all those years of food catching up with you." Alex laughs. I roll my eyes and mutter some impolite words before stalking off to find my mate aka baby daddy, according to Kev.

I see him over by some other pack members conversing and smiling the smile of an angel. "Hey babe. Ready to start the games?" I ask hugging him from the side. "Yeah. Let's go." We walk over to my mom and tell her we're ready. She walks over to the mini stage and turns on the mic.

"You guys ready to have some fun?!" The crowd cheers enthusiastically. "Well let's start with the games! There will be a series of games that everyone can play in. The first one that is universally known is the baby challenge. Everyone will receive a blue or a pink clothes pin. The motive of the game is to not say baby. Throughout the entire day if someone catches you saying 'baby' then they can take your pin. The person at the end of the day with the most pins will win this complimentary bookbag with games, candy, and a fifty dollar gift card to Chic-Fil-A." Everyone cheers while the pins begin to get passed out.

"Game number two is the guessing game. In this bottle are a bunch of mini pacifiers.  Everyone will take a slip and write down their name and how much pacifiers they think are in this bottle. The winner of this game, meaning whoever guessed the number correctly or the closest, will receive 100 baby bottle pops." Yummmmmm! Everyone stalks over to the table where the estimating is going on. Me and Ryker get to go first. We decide on 256 and put both our names on one card.

Once everyone goes we go over to other mini game tables And wait for the winner announcement. "And the winner for the guessing game is the one and only Jessica, with the number 347!" I look at Jess to see her smirking. Ryker growls causing my attention to turn to him "She cheated. She read the person who knew the numbers mind. Such an asshole." I chuckle at how competitive he can get.

We spent the rest of the day playing games, stealing pins, and all in all having a good time. Cecilia comes in after she got off work and immediately joins the party.

Right now we're getting ready for the gender reveal. I'm honestly so excited. I can't believe this is happening. I'm going to be a mom and Ryker the dad. I smile when they sit me and Ryker down in chairs and hand un gigantic black balloons. "Now for the gender reveal! The moment we've all been waiting for. On the count of three Ryker and Sage, pop your balloon!" The crowd counts down.

One..

Two..

Three!!!

Pink confetti spills out of mine and I couldn't be anymore happy. I look at Ryker to see his balloon has blue confetti. I look at my mother confused. "Surprise! Your having twins, a boy and a girl!" I almost faint. "T-twins?" She nods. I begin to start doubting myself for a quick second before Ryker hold my hand I realize I can do this and I will. I give Ryker the most passionate and love filled kiss I've ever given him before. "I love you." He states kissing me again. "I love you too." I smile and wrap myself in Ryker while the crowd cheers.

Watch out world, two new members are on their way.
