Runaway Wolf

Chapter 8

Ryker's P.O.V

I was stunned to find out that Sage's mother was the Moon Goddess and that Sage was next.
All day my wolf was howling for Sage's wolf. He's becoming more dependent on Sage's wolf as the weeks go on. As much as Sage won't admit, she knows her wolf feels the same way.

I need to plan something to get on her good side. I can't lose her again. If she banishes us from her pack in seven months I'll have zero chances to get in her good graces.
On top of that I have to find someway to end it with Kaylee. I've known her my whole life and would never want to hurt her even after all the wrong she's done. I just have to figure out a way, so her wolf won't lash out on me.

It's about 11o'clock right now. I walk down the hall into the kitchen deciding to make me some breakfast and think of a plan to make Sage mine. I walk through the threshold to see Sage already there eating Coco Puffs while sitting on the counter. She senses I'm in the room and looks up and rolls her eye's. She puts her bowl in the sink and begins to walk pass me. I quickly stop her out of instinct. "What do you need Ryker?" she spat "I just want to talk.. If that's okay" I say hopefully "Look, Ryker.. I don't really have tim--" I cut her off panicking a bit "It'll be quick. I promise" I rush.

"Fine. You have five minutes" she sits back on the counter. "Look. I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I know I'm probably not the best person you want to be around right now, but I truly am. I was a dumb teenage kid who cared about nothing but himself. I shouldn't of rejected you or embarrassed you like that infront of everyone. You don't know how bad it hurt for me to find out you left. These pass three years have been hell without yo--" she cuts me off "Is this supposed to have some effect on me?" she asks boredly "Just let me make it up to you" I rush out "How?"

"Let me take you out tonight." I say "Um. I don't think so" she says beginning to hop off the counter "Please. It'll be worth it. I promise. And if you still hate me as much as you do now then you don't have to talk to me ever again" I say with a big hopeful smile. She looks into my eye's as if to see if I'm joking "Fine. But I doubt anything will change between us." I squeal on the inside.... Of course like a man... Duh. "I promise it'll be fun.

She walks out and back up the stairs while I jump for joy.

Sage's P.O.V

I honestly don't know why I agreed. I guess my wolf had something to do with it. She's obviously falling for Rykers wolf. This decision had nothing to do with me. Nothing at all. Duh.

When I get up stairs I see everyone of my friends standing by the ledge with huge grins on their faces. "Eeeek! Yes! I knew it would happen eventually" all the girls ran up to me drowning me in hugs "She's right. I told her" Kev states. I smirk a bit but reply "Alright alright alright. Guys. I don't expect anything to change between me and Ryker tonight, and niether should you" I say brushing it ofd "Ooooh! You'll make such cute baby's!" Gabe squeals like a girl. I chuckle and say "Yeah. Okay" I turn around and walk into my room to pick out an outfit.

Kev's P.O.V

I already know what's gonna happen tonight. I haven't told anyone else but, it's gonna be good. I can't wait till Sage finally realizes how perfect he is for her. They'll be the power couple of the century.

Ryker's P.O.V

I've decided to leave Kaylee. It would be wrong to stay with her while I know I have feelings for Sage. I walk into our room and see her on her phone on the bed. "Hey babe. Didn't see ya there" she says coming over to kiss me but I turn my head so she ends up giving me a kiss on the cheek. Her smile falters a bit but she doesn't comment on it. "Kaylee. We need to talk" I say softly "About what?" I lead her to the bed to sit down. "About us." she gave me a look of confusion "Look Kaylee. I know we've been together for 2 years now. But what do we really have. All we do is have sex. We've never been in a heart to heart relationship" I say looking into her eyes "W-w-what? Do you want me to talk more? I-I can do that. I can be who you want me to be" she says her eyes brimmed with tears "I know. But what we have isn't love. It never was. Think about it. Have we ever told eachother we love eachother. Do we ever have conversations about our futures together. All we do is fuck and call eachother mates when were not even mates." I rant a bit.

"It's her isn't it? You have feelings for her don't you?!" she begins to scream about Sage. "I-I y-yeah." she sniffles "I knew it. Fuck you Ryker! And fuck her too!" she runs out of the door balling her eye's out.

I'm sad it had to be that way but I wouldn't want to lead her on. I sigh and just lay there thinking about where to take Sage tonight.

Sorry for the wait! I had a 3 day slumber party with my bestfriend and were planning my 13th birthday party, so I was busy. I'll post on my feed when I'm gonna update again. Maybe I'll make a schedule. Since I'm making some more books too. I'll ttyl guys!
