A light shines through my eyelids stirring me from my sleep. I am enveloped in a cozy warmth. I am unaware of where I am, but I know that I like it here so I stay and snuggle in further. I almost doze off again when I feel a soft hand brush against my cheek pushing some stray strands of hair away. I decide to wake up fully now and open my eyes. I am greeted to Ron's face staring at me.
"Morning." I smiled. He smiled back.
"Morning." We were caught in some kind of a trance after that, neither one of us wanted to pull away we just laid there staring into each other's eyes.
"What time is it?" I finally pulled away to look at the clock. Ron groaned.
"Your such a spoil sport." I giggled at Ron's childishness but still looked for the clock.
"Ron, we have to get up. It's 7:45 we need time to have breakfast and get changed and have a shower and get to our classes and-"
"Hermione." Ron cut me off. "Calm." Ron told me motioning for me to calm down. "It's fine were perfectly on time. You get changed and I'll wait outside." I nodded and relaxed.

I opened the door to Ron leaning against the wall outside my door.
"You ready to tell Harry?" He smirked. I smiled back and we walked down the corridor towards Harry and Ron's room. Ron opened the door, as he called Harry's name. Harry was just doing up his tie and he looked up at the sound of us entering. He looked at Ron and then at me and then at out hands linked together and then just smiled.
"I finally get my best friends back huh?"

After harry hugged us we went downstairs to get some breakfast. With the joy that came with getting back with Ron I had completely forgot about the controversy that had happened in real life so my happiness soon came to a halt when we pushed the doors open to the grand hall. Just like the day before everyone went silent and looked at me. I continued walking because I need to be brave, also, I was hella hungry. Every eye was on me as I slowly walked down the aisle to our table and I could feel the panic rising within me. Maybe I couldn't do this. But I swallowed hard and carried on going. Ron must have seen how panicked I was because I felt a warm hand slide into mine and a light squeeze. I grasped it thankfully. Murmurs grew from the silence.
'Look at her, she's so childish.'
'It's so funny how she thought that that guy loved her!'
'She's such a snobby bitch, what does she think she's doing here.'
This went on and so did the walk. Seriously how long did it take to get to my table? All of a sudden someone yelled, "careful she might name her teddy after you and punch it every night!". The whole hall exploded into laughter and I couldn't take it anymore, I turned on my heel and ran out the doors, the tears already forming.

"Hey." A gentle voice said from behind me. I pulled away from my book and swivelled in my chair to see Harry and Ron standing behind me.
"Hey guys." I gave them a small smile. They walked and sat down across from me, I guess they assumed I would come to the library. Harry got out a napkin and passed it to me. I opened it up to see a hot steaming sausage sandwich which you don't know how thankful I was for. I hadn't eaten for about 24 hours now. I shot Harry a grin before I dived into it eagerly. Harry chuckled as Ron said, 'um, Hermione, are you okay?' I gave Ron a smile.
"I'm all good, just something I'm gonna have to put up with." I shrugged.
"It shouldn't be." Ron snapped while slamming his hands on the table. Me and Harry looked at him and raised our eyebrows. I went back to my sandwich again and stuck the last bit in my mouth.
"It's fine Ron, it'll all be over in a few weeks and they'll have something else that riveting to talk about."

Harry, Ron and I were making out way down the corridor to potions, breakfast already completely forgotten about. Harry and Ron were arguing about where the Portuguese Long-Snout and a Antipodean Opaleye's dragons come from.
"Ron, I had to fight one in the goblet of fire, I think I know what I'm talking about."
"Yeah well my brother works with dragons." I rolled my eyes at their quarrel but I've got to admit, I really really did miss this.
"Boys, your both wrong." I said finally dipping into their conversation. "The Antipodean Opaleye is a breed of Dragon native to New Zealand, although it has been known to migrate to Australia in search of territory and The Portuguese Long-Snout is a breed of dragon usually found on the North of Portugal, around Gerês."
They were silent for a few seconds before Ron went.
"Well, yeah, that's what I meant."
"Yeah that's exactly what I was saying." I burst out laughing at Ron and Harry trying to play it cool but something I saw made my laughing die out and my breath to hitch. The boys noticed this and looked my way. Confused, they followed my trail of sight to see Kyle standing there in the corner surrounded but people.
"You're so funny Kyle!" Someone said.
"Yeah, you're so cool!" Another said. I couldn't believe that these people actually supported what he did to me. I was about to carry on walking when Ron rushed forward. Before I knew it he had punched Kyle in the face and was pinning him against the wall.
"YOU DICK!" Ron shouted in his face. "HOW DARE YOU!"
"It wasn't my fault." Kyle snarled. Ron let him go and I thought it was the end of it but he once again grabbed his shirt and lifted him up and slammed him into the ground. Kyle managed to give a few punches and I sucked in breath. I had never seen Ron so angry before, I could almost see smoke rise off him. Ron was able to stop Kyle and flipped over onto him. All of a sudden he started slamming his fist into Kyle's face continuously.
"Ron!" I exclaimed. Harry and I ran toward them and Harry tugged Ron off Kyle. Harry had Ron by the arms, pinning them behind him.
"Ron, what are you doing?!" I demanded but Ron wasn't listening he was still glaring at Kyle, out of breath. I turned around to face Kyle and glared. Kyle moved his stare from Ron to me, the glare softening a little.
"What are you still doing here Kyle?" I questioned. He slowly got up, wincing, and limped away. I turned around again to Ron and when I saw his bloodied and beat up face I almost whimpered. I took a step towards him, Harry had let go of him once Kyle had gone.
"Ron." I whispered. "What did you do?" I held his face in my hands softly stroking his wounds. He looked down to the floor.
"He deserved it Hermione." he whispered back.

Ron and I were now sitting on his bed, Harry had gone to class but Ron and I had a free and I don't think Ron was okay to go to class anyway. I took out my wand and took his hand in mine. I cast a spell to heal it and Ron smiled at me.
"Thanks."
"No worries." Just then the air around us changed, I could feel Ron moving toward me. Our eyes connected and I moved in too. We were inches apart, our lips almost touching. I closed my eyes and so did he. I just felt the heat of his lips when the door opened and we jerked away.
"Okay, it's official. I cant do astronomy." Harry said as he fell onto his bed. "Can we study together tomorrow Hermione?"
"Sure." I nodded as I inched away from Ron.
"Thanks." The room fell into an awkward silence as Ron and I looked anywhere that wasn't each other.
