-Shays pov-

"Shay, Denice WAKE UP! lets get a move on."

My dad yelled up the stairs I could smell a fresh pot of tea and I could hear the sizzle of bacon and eggs coming from down stairs. I jumped out of bed and ran into the hall towards the bathroom making it there just a few seconds before my twin sister Denice.

"Dammit Shay." She huffed and started giggling as I turned the bathroom door handle while replying;

"You snooze you lose sis."

We laughed as she gave me the stink eye,

"Be fast or else?" She threatened.

"Or what?" I smirked as I entered the bathroom locking the door and jumping into the shower washing up and brushing my teeth. I quickly finished and unlocked the bathroom door walking out letting my twin take her turn in the shower. I walked across the hall into my room and got dressed in my favourite little black sun dress, blow dried my hair and started curling it. As I headed down stairs to eat I thought to myself,

'how funny it was that I was starving and I usually don't eat a big breakfast or breakfast at all'.

"Mmmm dad it smells so good in here." I say walking into the kitchen.

"Morning sweetie grab a plate and dish up you got a long day of shopping ahead of you. Mom said not to buy nothing just yet you ladies are going today."

"Speaking of mom, did she go back to work or is she on one of her business trips?" Denice asked as she joined us in the kitchen. I smiled at her and then I turned & walked toward my dad letting him pull me in for a hug.

"No I am afraid she went back girls I know you miss her and she is never home for very long but she loves you two very much and before you know it you will be seeing her again."

I smiled burying my face in his shirt as we hugged,

"It just sucks dad. She works from August till May and only comes home during the summer for a bit because of business trips and at Christmas she only comes for about 2 weeks then she is gone again. I wish we could see her more I mean instead of just FaceTiming or phoning her."

My dad pulled me in again and hugged me tight.

"I know baby but that's just how her job works it's a good job and she can't leave it. Someday you will understand but for now let's just leave it okay."

"Okay."

"Good now eat before your sister eats all the bacon."

I chuckled turning to see my sister dishing up her plate.

"Mmm bacon just the way I like it not to crispy."

I dished up my plate and we sat down at the dinning table.

"Better eat fast girls or else we won't make it to be at the front of the line for clothing sale at stitches."

"daadd!" we replied together laughing.

We ate quickly and cleaned up ready to head to the mall we shopped for what seemed like forever looking at jeans, blouses, tank tops, jackets, belts and shoes. We didn't buy much just some new make up and new school bags and dad watched over them while we tried on clothes.

"Hey sis look at this jacket do you think it looks good on me."

I twirled around in the change room mirror looking at how nice the baby blue jacket looked on me how it hugged my small form taking in all the small details when my sister knocked on the door of the stall.
