Ch10: The Change pt2

-Denice's Pov-

After vampire class me and Jake were sitting on the lawn talking over our day and discussing the full moon. We were laughing at certain things when a man walked up to us.

"You guys the new fledglings?" He asked looking directly at us.

"Yeah," Jake replied.

"Well you guys have to follow me. It's time."

I look over and Jake when fear in my eyes when he reached for my hand.

"You'll be okay. I won't let nothing happen to you. Come on." He got up and helped me up as we walk back and into a basement underneath the manor. I was still holding onto jakes hand when they told us to go into separate cells. I was looking around trying to find Shay, Tobi or Ray but I didn't find them at all.

"Jake I can't find my sister?" I asked worriedly.

"She's probably in a cell already. But I'll come find you at the end of this okay? You got this. You're strong as ever Denice don't let the weak take over you. See you at the end." He whispered as he kissed my forehead giving me a long hug before they put us in cells. I enter a cell 2 doors down from Jake and see one of the house mates enter one across from me. They ended up chaining us like as if we we're animals. I was worried for Jake and my sister, hoping they were okay. The moon was shining on me through the window when I started to get irritated. I stand up when I felt dizzy causing me to fall back on my knees making the chains rattle. Suddenly I hear screaming and yelling coming from different directions making everything worst. I was scared at this point because they could be dying or changing already. The sound was shrieking it hurt my ears when I felt a burning sensation all over my body it felt like I was on fire. I began to scream in pain, pounding my fists onto the ground hoping this would end. My airways were slowly tightening on me, eyesight going blurry everything around me was like death. The feeling was terrible I felt my insides going ice cold when I began to go weak. I was trying to think of jakes words to me before we entered these cells but it was all to much for me.

"I'm sorry Jake-" I whispered when it took over. I screamed one last time and then bam, blackness drew over me. A while later I heard someone coming down the stairs when I sat up against the stone wall. My vision, hearing, taste, touch and smell advanced greater than the average human I once was. I look down at the chains around my wrists and ankles when I tugged on them lightly only breaking them off.

"You beat me too it." The same man who put me in here said. We walk out together when I seen my mom at the stair case.

"Congratulations my dear. You were the last one here." She smiled. I look around and see other guys covering up bodies with black covers. I look back at my mom and see her still smiling.

"You should go back to you're room the sun will be raising soon. Go get you're jewellery and head to the grand hall immediately." I did what I was told. Once I felt the ground on my feet I ran, as my speed was faster than I expected. This feeling was amazing I felt more alive then I was human. I reach the doorstep to house of Alaric and rushed into the bedroom hoping to see Shay on the other side only bumping into her as I wrap my arms around her neck, shaking my arms because I was happy she was okay.

"Oh my gosh Shay your okay that's so good I was scared." I yell. She laughed and hugged me back, our strength was too powerful I felt her small bones crack in my arms. We then started laughing.

"Same goes for you. But come on, we have to head to the hall. Grab you're necklace." She smiled. I went to get it then we took off to the hall. After we made our daylight necklaces we went back to the room. Shay was outside with Tobi so I went to inside to get some rest.
