Ch28: Prom!

-Denice's Pov-

Friday morning rose, me and Shay were stuck laying in bed being lazy as ever. We only been told to go to our morning classes today so we got the afternoon off to get ready for the dance later this evening which everyone was all excited about. I couldn't even concentrate on my classes because how excited I was to attend this dance and to see Carter of coarse.

"So Ray did you decide who you're going to prom with?" Shay asked Ray who was doodling on paper in front of her. I look over at them and so did Jake who was sitting next to me.

"Cade, he asked me last night. He promeposal me." She shyly smiled looking over at us when she put her face down.

"I need the bathroom," Jake interrupted asking the teacher if he can go to the bathroom which he was allowed too.

"You think I made a mistake?" Ray asked.

"Of coarse not, Cade really likes you Ray and Jake doesn't want to see you with anybody but him. He's lost but I'm sure he'll find his way back eventually." I replied reassuring her with a smile. Shay agreed when they started gushing about what Cade did exactly last night.

After our final class we all walked back to our dorm room pulling out the dresses from the closet. Shays dress was still in a white bag but mine was with Kayleigh in wolf springs. Ray had hers in our room so she pulled it out of my closet.

"Let's get ready." Ray smiled sitting on my bed with different cosmetics laid out and Shay hopped across from her. I was about to join in when Kayleigh stormed in with the dress on her back and her heels clicking across the floor boards. 

"What are you doing girl, come on let's go you're late." She urged putting her hand out for me to grab. We all looked at her in confusion when she cleared her throat.

"Huh?"

"Wren didn't tell you? That damn guy always forgetting about his tasks. You're coming to get ready at wolf springs with me, I have to fix you're face and hair and most of all make sure this dress fits you properly. Did you shave you're legs? Because I have to layer baby oil all over you're body." She asked making the girls laugh.

"For what? I mean thanks but you ain't no stylist I can get ready myself with my friends here." I replied:

"Oh no hunny, I can't let that happen. You need to be perfect and out due all the girls at the dance because you're the reason why this is all happening. So come on," before I was able to deny again she dragged me out of the room.

"See you girls at the dance-" was the last thing I said before the door closed. 

We arrive in trailer that was parked behind the school with a bunch of others that were parked all over the field. I kept questioning myself why all these semis and trailers were here when Kayleigh answered my thoughts.

"They're setting up in the great gym for the dance, tables, dance floor, lights, decorations and so on. Morgan wanted to go all out so this morning I was to direct where I wanted things and such. I still have to be in there so my team here is gonna fix you up. My schedule is tight as my ass." She laughed making me laugh as well, and so as her team. I sat on a stool in front of a mirror when a guy walked up to me introducing himself.

"Hey girlfriend, you must Denice soon to be Mrs. Carter Grey. The names Fabio but call me you're dream guy." He clicked his tongue when I giggled.

"She's not getting married doofus, this is prom and it's her big night. Make sure she looks hot." Kayleigh smirked when Wren bragged in.

"Kayleigh they need you inside, the DJ is here and he needs to know where to set up and my father is looking for you." He says when he sees me sitting in the chair from the mirror. He smiled when I waved when Kayleigh and him barged out. I quickly get up from the chair running towards the door when I yell for Wren. He looked back at me and so does Kayleigh.
