Ch14: Teach or Forgive

EXCITING CHAPTERRRR😁

-Denice's Pov-

"Just close you're eyes, and imagine it forming in your head. Focus on that thought as I come close to you. Don't let it go, hold onto it." Ray said as we practice early morning in front of the manor. I close my eyes and listen to her voice repeating it in my head.

"I can't Ray, it's too much. We've been doing this for 4 days already I can't get it like the first time." I reply downing myself. The first time was awesome I don't know how it happened or what I did but the shield worked.

"We're going to get this Dee, no matter how hard it is. Well get Jake to-"

"No don't. I don't want to talk to him not since-"

"I know Dee I'm sorry. It's been days since you last spoke maybe he can be a huge help in this." She said walking over to me. She braced me with a hug making me smile.

"Okay, let's try this again."

That morning me and ray practiced and practiced trying to get it right but it wasn't going anywhere. We decided to try again tomorrow morning which became a new thing for me and her. We went to class when Ray told me to save her seat. It was math class when Shay and Tobi walked in laughing and took a seat two seats in front of me. I watched the door hoping to see Ray walk in when Jake walked in just when I was starring at the door he gave me a soft smile when I looked away opening up my books. I can smell his scent walking towards me when I close my eyes inhaling it because I sure did miss it. I slowly look up only seeing his face inches away when I see he was leaning in front of me. I lean back in my seat looking at him, wondering what he was doing.

"I want to talk to you Denice." He whispered. I look both ways, I look back, and look behind him making sure no one hears or sees. I lean on my elbows towards him when he watches every move I make. I lean so close to him that his breathe was against my face. He never took his eyes off me when he closes his eyes.

"What makes you think I want to talk to you." I whispered back, leaning back in my seat when he shot open his eyes. He chuckles and moves his binder next to mine and decides to take the seat next to me. I turn to face him and ask,

"What are you doing? I don't want to talk to you Jake." I urged pushing his binder away.

"I'm not leaving you until I talk to you, I know I made a huge mistake by hurting you and that was the last thing I wanted to do. Just let me explain myself." he said with a serious tone. His eyes were looking deep into mine when I shook my head turning away from him.

"Jake, what makes you think I'll forgive you this easily? What you did hurt me you made me feel worthless." I respond not looking at him.

"I know but I just want to explain myself, show you how deeply sorry I am. What can I do for you to forgive me?" He said holding onto my forearm as he rubbed his fingers against it. I look at him when I had a good thought pop up when i started to smirk and nod,

"Denice? What does that mean?" He asked curiously.

"I have just the perfect idea." I reply smiling.

It was now lunch break and me, Ray and Jake were standing in the field behind the manor. Where no one was around to see us. Ray was standing next to me as I took my stance and Jake was quite a distance away from me.

"Okay I don't know what you did to get Jake to do this but maybe this can work. Take stance and imagine the first time it happened. The shield forming in you're head, covering every each of you're body as it protects the ones you love." She says walking around me. I take stance, closing my eyes and imagine my dad standing next to me. Since me and him have a perfect relationship why not.
