Ch16: Wolf Springs

-Denice's Pov-

"Nothing, because I'm taking Denice to him first thing when the sun raises." Carter replied when me and Wren both gasped at the same time. I look at Carter and thought he was crazy because there's no absolute way I'm heading over there. Wren shook his head and backed up from Carter when I tug Carter on his shirt.

"Carter I'm not doing that, you're crazy. I'll die." I say in terror. Wren agreed shaking his head in disbelief.

"I'm not letting anything happen to you Denice I told you. We're doing it and that's final. I want to get this over with and Wren you're going to help." Carter urged looking directly at wren.

"I'm not doing that, father will kill us both. She's a vampire. The treaty can't be broken bro, listen to you're girl and think about what you're doing." Wren replied using hand gestures.

"It already is broken. Father can't do nothing because I imprinted on her. She's mine now. That's the law right? Look happened with you and Rachel," Carter said when wren shoved him back, making him bump into me.

"Don't bring her up in this." He yelled. Carter checked on me if was okay when he kissed my cheek. He then turned towards Wren,

"We'll help me, I helped you that time you owe me." Carter pleaded. Wren kept looking at me and then at Carter for a few seconds then agreed to help.

"I'm only doing this because you got a point. Plus you know how I am between us and the vamps. I don't think I'll ever-"

"She's not like them Wren. She's different." Carter said holding onto me tightly in his arm. He kissed my forehead when Wren smiled.

"I know. I can see it in her eyes." He replied. I started to smile and latched my arm around Carter's lower waist. After a while Wren took off to go give his dad a heads up that Carter needed to talk to him privately. It was now 3am and Carter was giving me a logical speech on what he was going to say.

"He's going to have to agree with this, because I imprinted and he can't do nothing. I won't let nothing dangerous happen to you okay? Wren and I got you're back, and I'll do whatever it takes for us to be one. Alright?" Carter whispered against my cheek as I bit my lip nodding my head.

I can't believe I'm letting this happen, I didn't even think about the consequences on my side but that's not where we're at now... Anyways. Suddenly we hear rustles in the trees behind us when Carter stood up and so did I. He gripped onto my hand as i squeezed for fear only Wren running out shirtless holding a change of clothes.

"Took a pair of you're clothes for her, so her scent wouldn't be to obvious for us. Dad knows you're coming so he's waiting up in the haze." Wren said handing me the clothes.

"Was he up?" Carter asked.

"Yeah he's doing some paper work. But we should go before everyone else wakes up for the morning run." He replied.

"What's the haze? I whispered to Carter. He looked down and said,

"It's a code name for a secret meeting for us. A place underneath the school that nobody knows but my dad, me and Wren." He whispered.

"Oh," was all I was able to say. He told me to go change on my land somewhere quickly and to ditch my clothes where I can go change when we get back. I changed into grey sweats with a black long sleeve shirt that dropped to my thighs. I had to knot the sweats a couple times to keep it tight so it wouldn't fall. I ran back to the guys and see them laughing, pushing each other around.

"Hey, we didn't even smell you. It worked." Wren called out.

"That's a good sign. Let's go, let's not keep father waiting much longer." Carter said reaching for my hand. I look at him and then at Wren when he nodded his head giving me a soft smile. I take his hand when we all started running towards the school.
