-Denice's Pov-

That following morning me and Shay woke up and headed for breakfast. It was the same as yesterday, including the classes I mean we finally started work so it was something different. Math was a struggle for me but Jake was able to help me with that. Me and Jake we're starting to connect really well ever since we opened up about our life's and childhoods.

*flashback to yesterday's conversation*

"My life wasnt that great in the beginning as most people would think. I mean I'm an only child and having divorced parents at such a young age is hard. It's like you're choosing sides whether you want to go visit you're father or mother, there's always going to be fights. My father was really secretive about his job though I think that's why they had the divorce." Jake started off as I sat up to look at him. He slowly smirked and put his head and gave it a shake.

"Jake, I-" before I was able to reply he cut me off.

"Then one night last year I came home from my fathers place & found my mom laying on the kitchen floor." He choked,

"Dead." He finished. My eyes were big full of shock because of how he lost his mother at such a young age realizing it was only last year.

"I'm so sorry." Was all I was able to say.

"Don't be, I mean people come and go in you're life and with my mother? It wasn't a good relationship. This may sound mean for me to say but I don't miss her. My feelings about her are just gone once she died. I think for me it's like that because something felt different. A trigger that night, maybe because the mark was about to come soon? Or it was just a feeling. I don't know but I'm here now." He whispered when he looked up at me.

"I understand Jake. It's hard I get it but at the same time I don't know what that feels like and I don't ever want to feel that."

"You deserve not too Dee. But for me, once people enter my life there's never leaving. So don't leave me because I'm tired of being abandon." He choked again. I reach for his hand and gave him a small smile,

"Jake, I would never leave you. I'm here to stay." I reply when I gave him a small hug.

*end of flashback*

"Dee? You okay?" Shay asked shaking my forearm. I realize we were sitting at the lunch table with Jake, and some girl.

"Just dazed. I'm gonna go get something in our room before class, I'll be-"

"We'll hold on, I'll come with. Oh and by the way, this is Ray. Ray this is my twin sister Denice." I look over and see her bright smile when I smile back and reach to shake her hand.

"Nice to meet you," she says as she stood up to shake my hand back.

"Likewise." I nod when I slowly leave the table with Jake following me. Shay says something to Ray and rushes over to us and begins to walk with us out of the manor.

"Rays not coming?" I asked.

"No she's gonna eat still with the rest of her friends. But since my sister won't introduce me I'm Shay her twin, nice to meet you." Shay smirks shaking jakes hand.

"Jake, pleasures mine." He grins shaking her hand back.

"Well I'm sorry, I was just going to say it," I laugh.
