To start off, here's a u-tube video of Perfect Symmentry From my local V Festival - a band that Shaun is rather partial.

I would like to introduce you to the  ShaunAllan who lives in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. I'm so excited to interview a fellow BRIT. A self professed prolific writer, Wattpad Featured Author and part of the Wattpad Stars program. Shaun's main bag is horror, but also writes poetry, children's books and has worked with Universal as well as working full time. He also is participating in the Wattpad Block Party, which kicks off on the 1st August 2016 and hosted by the always lovely Kelly Anne Blount. I wonder if Shaun ever gets any sleep?

Anyone who ever speaks to Shaun will soon realise he likes a good banter, has a great sense of wit and that writing is his passion.

Thank you Shaun, for kindly agreeing to undertake this interview. Let's get ourselves comfortable as we settle down in our virtual Beach Café in our comfy chairs. Now I'll order and it's my treat.

So what are we drinking? Coffee? Tea? Or a glass of wine?? Oh, and are we having cake? If so, which cake is your favourite? Is there a memory attached to it that you would like to share?

Reply: Hi there! Hey, just the chance to sit and chill in a comfy chair is good enough for me! Five seconds of peace is as good as five hours to others! But, if you insist, it depends on which time zone we're in. If it's early, I'll have a latte, please. If it's later, I'll take a pint. Wine would be good – though not necessarily a pint! Oh, go on then. This once. As for cake, is there any Key Lime Pie? Yum! There's always room for pudding!

Let's have some wine then, cheers, be shame not to and pie on the side :-)

Shaun loves his music and he tells me this is another of his favourites, Mountain -by The Foals:

Wine it is, then. I only normally have one glass at a time - but it is one of those big ones which take half a bottle...

Another song by The Foals, London Thunder:

Shaun, I know you hail from Grimsby, Lincolnshire. I cringe as I ask you this question, but I really could not do an interview without asking this. The Brothers Grimsby, as showcased by Sacha Baron, portrays Grimsby as a place with a bit of reputation. His take, was in incredibly bad taste and cringe worthy in the extreme in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of his. It apparently is bombing in the film charts, that says it all. So tell me, I have never been to Grimsby, how would you describe the Grimsby you know.

(2) Reply: Well. The film. Yes. Indeed. I have to admit I've yet to see it. I'm not a massive fan of Sacha Baron Cohen. I think he spoiled the new Alice film. So to find him taking the Mickey out of my home town doesn't go down well. I'm told, after a slow start, it is funny, and I'm certainly not averse to being making fun of myself. Grimsby isn't as 'grim' as it sounds, though. It was supposedly founded by Grim, who was protecting the heir to the Danish throne. It has a stereotype, sure, picked up on by the film, but there's so much more to Grimsby (not least that I live there!). It was the world's largest fishing port and is the home of proper 'fish'n'chips.' It's got aspirations to be the hub for European wind farming. It's in Lincolnshire, a beautiful part of the country with farms and woods and rivers. Right next door to Grimsby (as in you cross a road and you're in Cleethorpes) is a seaside town with a theme park, pubs and night clubs, a long beach and arcades. There's good and bad areas, just like pretty much every town and city on the planet. It has some great schools and lovely parks (in fact, one will be a main location in Mortal Sin – lots of death and it also appeared in The Last Dance, a story from Dark Places). And I live there. Did I mention that? So lots going for it.
