This interview appeared previously in the WattmagUSA'profile - WattpadChronicle - October edition.

I would like to introduce you to Emma V Leech LaDameBlanche a Watty Winner in 2014 and 2015 who use to live in the UK but now lives with her family in the middle of nowhere, in the Dordogne, in France and has done since 1998. Emma was one of the first writers I got to know on Wattpad, who was selfless in giving me writing advice and answering patiently all my writing questions. I asked her a lot of questions! She was always so incredibly kind and helpful and still is.

Emma has penchant for loud music 24/7 and hasn't got it out of her head that she's really a grown up and not a teenager anymore. Emma and her husband have 3 daughters and we have in the past, shared shouting and eye rolling stories.

Emma is also a Wattpad Star.

She often writes to very late and her favourite place to write is at her kitchen table, which is very much the heart of her home.

I wrote a poem last year which I dedicated to Emma regarding writing late at night which I know will strike a chord with many of you - called Twilight Writing, if you fancy reading, here's the link:

She is rather partial to chocolate, Florence + the Machine, tarot cards (shall I read your cards for you?) and anything creepy except spiders. If she ever visits me on my boat, beware spiders love boats!

If you want to see what Emma looks like – check out this video (I bet your squirming now Emma).

Thank you for kindly agreeing to undertake this interview. Let's get ourselves comfortable as we settle down in our virtual café in our comfy chairs. Now I'll order.

What are we drinking? Coffee? Tea? Or a glass of wine? Oh and are we having cake? If so, which cake is your favourite?- Is there a memory attached to it that you would like to share?

Reply: Oh tea for me please, well I am English, and French chocolate cake. I think that sums me up nicely. I've been in France almost twenty years so I'm a bit of a mix now. I have a very good recipe for chocolate cake though it's illegible now as the pages are all stuck together, I've made it so many times. My hero in the Dark series, Corin, has a very sweet tooth, I'm going to pretend I have a memory of sharing it with him ... mmmm.

Naughty and cheeky Emma ;-) I better have some chocolate cake too. Here's an easy to follow recipe I found, in case anyone wants some too. :-)

Why do you think The Wizard of Oz is the scariest film you have ever seen?

Reply: I'm not really sure what it is about it but the film has always unsettled me. I think it's the sweetness of everything you see, Dorothy and the cowardly lion etc, it's almost saccharin but underneath there is something very dark and disturbing. And don't get me started on those monkeys ... *shudders*
