My eyes open and the light comes shinning into them. I put my hand in front of my face. Ugh, I hate mornings. I sit up expecting to be in my old room in my old house. I still haven't got used to my new life yet. Like yeah, I don't care if Daniel isn't in my life anymore. He probably doesn't have time for me anymore with his career and stuff.
I sigh at the sight of my new room. I miss my old place and only being five minutes away from my best friends. I haven't seen Shawn or Cameron but we text and stuff like friends do. I slowly get up and walk out to kitchen and make myself a coffee. I'm going to have a really late night tonight partying and stuff.
I sit at the bench watching out the window at my dog playing with his chew toy. He's so cute. I go to take another sip of my coffee and realise it's empty so I leave it on the bench and walk to my room. Mum and dad are still asleep. I take forever to pick an outfit and I get dressed after a while before texting Taya.
"Hey, did you need me to come early to help?" I text.
"Nah I'm all good. Thanks. I have Shawn, Skyla and Cameron. U just lay back and enjoy your night ok? We don't want you working hard..."
"K????" I reply.
"Don't K me!" She yells back. Ever since she found out Shawn hates it when people say 'K', she started hating it too and I keep on forgetting, even after 6 years.
I grab my bag with my phone and book and notebook and pen inside and I walk out the front door. I walk not knowing what to do. I'm soooooo bored! I walk to the park that is empty and I sit on the swing. I like to write lyrics that I make up but I don't actually pursue them into songs.
I start writing. When I write, I pour out what's on my mind. After a while I check my phone to check the time and it's already 2:00! I was here for ages!!!! What the heck?! I get up and my legs are stiff from sitting down all the time. I start walking back home starving. I'm about to cross the road to get to my house when I remember there's Starbucks just across from my house, so I walk to that and get my self a drink.
I get home at 2:15 and I chuck my bag on my bed.
"Where were you!?" I hear mum yell. I turn around to see her almost crying. Wow.
"You scared the heck out of me Amber!" She says giving me a hug.
"I'm fine, mum. I just went to the park." I chuckle.
"Text me next time ok?" She whispers. I nod and walk to my room.
(A/n lets pretend it's been like ages since the start of the prequel but they haven't aged but they still get privileges of being 19 but they are really 16)
I jump onto my bed and go on my phone and text taya.
"R u sure u don't need any help? I'm bored"
"No it's ok. We are pretty much ready and we are just filling up the pass the parcel so you can't see anyway" she replies. Shawn has never stoped loving pass the parcel so he must have made Taya make one. Lol.
"Ugh! Fine" I reply. I feel like they are trying to get rid of me, but if they were, why would they invite me. I don't know. I decide to just watch try not to laugh videos on YouTube which I fail miserably.
The next thing I know, it's 6:30. The party starts at quarter past 7, it takes half an hour to get to Taya's and I have to buy a food thing from the shop! I immediately jump up and put my phone in my back pocket along with a twenty dollar note and some money for the bus.
"Bye mum!" I yell out as I open the front door.
"Be safe!" She yells back. I shut the door behind me and walk down the footpath to the mini supermarket just down the road. There is this massive basket full of different packs of lollies on sale so I grab that and pay for it before running to the bus stop where the bus waits for people to get on.
I get there just as the bus driver was closing the door and I just made it on. As I walk down the isle finding a place to sit, I see Natalie and Chloe on the bus. Nat and Chloe were in my class for high school. I sit behind them.
"Hey guys!" I say through the seats.
"Hey Amber. You going to Taya's Party?" Chloe says turning around.
"Yeah!" I chuckle.
"What food did you bring?" Natalie asks. I lift up my basket.
"Yuuuuum!" They both moan in unison.
I smile.
"What did you guys bring?" I ask. Natalie holds up five boxes of the 20 pack chicken nuggets from McDonald's and Chloe holds up a plate of the subway Party pack.
"Fabulous" I smirk. The bus pulls up at the stop near Taya's and we all get off.
Because it's summer, the sun is still up. Typical Australia.
(A/n yeah we all live in Australia including Daniel, Cameron and Shawn and the other famous guys) it's really warm outside and the Mosquitos won't stop biting me.
"Ugh! These Mosquitos are SO annoying!!" Chloe complains. Nat and I nod in unison.
We walk down Taya's driveway. All the cars i see I recognise. There's Cameron's, Shawn's, Taya's and a bunch of people from our high school.
"Are we late?" I ask as we walk up to the door.
"I don't think so..." Natalie says unsure. Chloe opens the door and we all walk in. I walk in last. Taya and Skyla come right to us.
"Hey guys! You made it." Taya says hugging them both.
"AMBER!" Taya and Skyla run into my arms. "We haven't seen you in ages!"
"Yeah I know. I missed you guys so much." I reply.
"Are you still mad at Daniel?" Skyla asks over the loud music.
"Hell yeah!" I yell back. The lights are off but there are lava lamps everywhere so I can just see their faces. Taya and Skyla give each other a concerning look.
"What?" I ask.
"He's been asking about you lately that's all" taya smiles. I smile and hold up my basket. Skyla immediately grabs it and runs off and Taya follows her. I start laughing and chase after them.
