Cameron's POV
We are waiting in the hospital room. Shawn and I have been here for ages and Taya and Skyla have been here for about an hour and half. Skyla is sitting on my lap with her head on my chest. I think she is asleep but it's such a cute moment right now. Taya and Shawn are quietly talking but I can't hear what they are saying. I stroke my hand through Skyla's hair.
Then the beeping from Daniels life support thing gets faster. I look up and so does everybody else. Turns out skyla was awake. We all stand up and watch Daniel. Lol that sounds really creepy. His eyes flicker open and he smiles at us but then his smile drops.
"Hey man!" I chuckle giving him a bro hug thing.
"Hey" he says forcing a smile.
"Omg! I missed you so much!" Skyla says hugging him. He sits up and I press the nurse Button. The doctor walks in almost immediately.
"Daniel!" He says smiling. We move out the way and the doctor walks up to the bed. "How are you feeling?" He chirps.
Daniel throws a thumbs up.
"So we are just going to have to take some tests and you will probably be able to go home tomorrow." The doctor looks at his papers. Everyone in the room is smiling but Daniel. Daniel points for me to lean down and I do so he can speak to me.
"Dude where's Amber?" He whispers into my ear.
"At home. She's really sick" I say and I stand straight again.
"Can we get you guys to leave the room?" The doctor says. We all wave to Daniel and walk out.
"What did he say to you?" Taya asks when the door is closed.
"He was just asking where Amber was" I say looking at my phone.
"Omg! Amber! I gotta text her" taya says quickly getting out her phone. I chuckle.
"Wait so, why is Amber so sick?" Shawn laughs.
"Well she had a headache, so we took her to my house and we were meant to give her 1 pill but I didn't read the packet and gave her two." Skyla tries to hold in her laughter. It is pretty funny. But it's not funny how Amber is really sick.
Daniel's POV
I can hear a little bit of mumbling. I think, Taya, Shawn, Cameron and Skyla are in the room but I don't know who's mumbling. Come on Daniel. Move. Move. My finger moves a little. yes! Come on! Move your ass Daniel! I hear the life support machine beeping faster. Then I force my eyes open. Everyone is smiling at me and I'm so happy to see them. I look around. No Amber. My smile drops.
"Hey man!" Cameron says. We give each other a bro hug and I sit up.
"Hey" I reply. I force myself to smile.
"Omg! I missed you so much!" Skyla says. She hugs me tight almost strangling me. I chuckle a bit. Cameron presses the nurse button, he has a little jealous look on his face from when skyla hugged me. Lol. We are just friends. The doctor walks in almost immediately.
"Daniel!" The doctor says over excitedly. A little too excited. I'm actually really upset that Amber wasn't here when I woke up. "How are you feeling?" The doctor walks up to my bed.
I give a thumbs up and the doctor smiles. Again.
"So we are just going to have to take some tests and you will probably be able to go home tonight." He says. I nod. He asks the guys to leave and they do. The doctor takes my blood test and checks a few stuff. "You're all good to go home tonight" the doctor says. Yes I can't wait to see Amber.
"But, for your health, I suggest you don't see anyone who is sick, even with just a small cold, for a week. Just to prevent you getting really sick" he says. My heat sinks. I can't see Amber for another week?! No! It's not fair! I say thank you to the doctor and I walk out.
The guys all look at me when I exit the room.
"Are you ok?" Shawn says seeing that I'm about to cry. I shake my head and walk off.
"Daniel wait!" Skyla yells to me. I yell at them telling them what happened and continue walking. I have no idea who's car I'm going in but I don't care. I just keep walking. I go down the elevator and out the front entrance. I look around the carpark and my eyes stop on Cameron's car. I immediately walk over to it and lean against the door waiting for Cameron so he can unlock it.
Soon enough Shawn and Cameron walk over.
"Did you want us to take you to Ambers?" Cameron says as we all sit in the car. I Shake my head. I can't. Wait no. I love her too much.
"Yes please" I say calming down. Cameron drives off with him and Shawn in the front and I'm in the back. We pull up at ambers house after a few minutes and I stand in the doorway. I hesitate then nock. What if because she hasn't seen me in days, she's moved on? I knock 3 times before someone answers the door.
The door half opens and a cute girl with long brown hair stands at the doorway. Her nose is red and her eyes all blood shot and a little puffy. She will always look beautiful to me. But she has a shocked look on her face. She goes to hug me but before we touch she pulls back and turns around so I'm now facing her back.
"Why are you here?" She asks. You can tell her nose is clogged and she has a massive migraine.
"Amber. I love you. I couldn't bare not seeing you another second." I say hoping she will understand.
"Daniel. You're going to get sick and because you just came out of a coma, that not good." She says shaking her head.
"Just look at me" I whine. She turns around after hesitating.
"I don't want to get you sick" she mumbles.
"I don't care if I get sick, as long as I'm with you" I say. I missed her so much.
She throws her arms around me and wraps her legs around my waist and buries her face in my shirt.
"I missed you so much" she says. She's now crying and I hug her really tight. She lets go and I put her down.
"Wow. You look really bad" I chuckle.
"Well it's not my fault Skyla gave me too many drugs!" She half yells laughing. Some pedestrians who were walking on the footpath in front of ambers house look at us and start walking faster. We both crack up laughing.
"I missed your laugh so much!" She says calming down. I don't care if I get sick but i cup her cheek in my hand and our lips crash together. Moving perfectly in sync.
