My Love

I looked at Mike and smiled as I laid on his chest. Our hotel room was quaint and I was tired as hell from all that stress. Wait... I suppose I should bring this back.

Flashback

I looked in my rear view mirror and saw Vince with something in his hands. He pushed a button and I screamed out as the car exploded. Mike looked back too as a car identical to ours going in a different direction with dummys in it exploded. He looked at me and frowned "Why the hell you screaming" he asked looking at me laughing a little "Because nigga we did it I knew it'd work" he rolled his eyes "How you went from sad shy girl to cocky bad ass I'll never know" I laughed and continued driving off. We drove to the airport and took the first plane to New York. Bye bye Florida.

But of course you wanna know how we did it. I'll tell you. I sent Sofia her 10 million then I sent the security footage to Vincent knowing he'd jump at the chance for revenge. As we talked in Riley's office I had someone switch our car with one that you could control remotely. And while Vincent thought he blew us up he really just destroyed someone else's car. I slept peacefully knowing that we weren't being followed. When I woke up I sighed doing my hygiene and changing into my outfit for today. I grabbed my bags and stuffed them into the car getting in to see Mike waiting patiently. Every minute I got closer and closer to him I couldn't wait to see everybody. When we got there I ran out the car to the door knocking on it twice. I bounced happily as the locks clicked and Natalia opened the door "Oh you... What are you doing here" she said "I'm back" I said my mood deflated "What's wrong I thought you missed me" she laughed "You know I did miss you and then you blew up the house after that I expected you to come back mission complete but you were still there" I frowned "Natalia it wasn't that simple I couldn't have just come back after that they would've come after us if I'd left then" she laughed humorously "To the house they have no idea where it is to find people who are dead" I shut up and thought about it. Maybe they wouldn't have come after me. Chris came up behind Natalia pushing her aside hugging me tight. I was more than happy to see him but right then all I could think was did I actually waste my time. Did I do all of that for nothing? Chris led me inside and I could clearly see that Natalia's view of me was shared with many others. Nita, Shay, and Elena weren't one of them according to Chris which made me happy, but Kat and Natalia were as much my sisters as any of them. I went upstairs to Shay's room to see her rocking back and forth in a nursing room rubbing her huge belly. I smiled and hugged her from behind. She laughed and looked at me eyes growing wide. She got up as fast as she could hugging me tighter than Chris did "I missed you so much" she whispered into my shoulder quietly. I responded with an equally tender hug. I missed her too. I said hi to the rest of the girls missing them just as much. Our conversations were filled with love and tears. My girls are my everything which is why I need to try and do everything to get Natalia and Kat back. I went to what I was told was Chris' room and opened the door. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he was standing in the middle of the room with flowers and next to him a little fort with popcorn and blankets. I smiled wide and walked over giving him a kiss. We say there and watched TV for a while then he turned to me and sighed nervously. I frowned "Chris what's wrong" he cleared his throat and had me sit in a chair. He sung his favorite song and danced for me.

I couldn't stop smiling and clapped when he finished. I was about to stand up and walk back over to the fort when he pushed me back down a serious look on his face. I frowned and watched his movements nervously. What's going on?

He got down on one knee and I put my hand to my heart "Babe I love you and I knew from the minute I met you you were gorgeous and special... You may not know who you're real family is but if you let me I can make you a permanent part of my family... Maris would you do me the honor of becoming Ms. Christopher Brown " I wanted to say yes immediately but I couldn't all I could think was Liam. The only other person to ever have my heart. He died and I have a ring serving as a memory of his and our babie's death. I can't do that again with Chris. He squirmed a little probably nervous that I'll tell him no and to be honest I might. My mind was so clouded and the deflated look on his face is tearing me up all at the same time. I started hyperventilating and ran to the bathroom sliding down the door. I sobbed into my knees memories of Liam's blank face looking back at me while I pleaded with him to come back to me. The long hours spent at his grave, the wedding ring in my suitcase. I was slowly beginning to feel like that scared little girl I started out as. Small knocking on the door pulled me out of my thoughts "Yes" I whispered "Are you OK" I shook my head "No... I'm not... My husband was brutally murdered my children savagely beaten out my womb... I can never be OK I want to marry you and love that picket fence life but I.... I don't know what'd happen to me if I ever lost you... You're the last living piece of my soul without you there is no me... If I seal this with you you have to promise to never leave me" I opened the door looking at the floor "Listen to me I can't promise you ill never leave but I promise that I will stay with you as long as I can... do this I'm not ever letting you go not that I was gonna anyway" I kissed him and whispered "Promise" he nodded softly pressing his lips to mine agreed whispering "I promise" that was the beginning of the end. Shay had a bouncing baby boy Ethan and Elena found love again in Mike. Natalia married Trey and Nita had twins Bella and Gaia and she and Tyga got married too. Then me and Chris, we lived out our days trying to live up to our promises.

"Love me always" I whispered into his neck "Always baby girl" he said kissing my forehead.
