"So have you both decided what you're doing at Christmas?" Chanel broke me out of my thoughts.

"Uhm yeah.. tomorrow we're going at his grandmother's house and on Christmas day I think we're spending it at my house, you?" I said.

"At Adam's tomorrow and the day after that at mine's"

"So you and Adam are serious now?" I asked curious. Those two just kept confusing me.

"Uh I guess so. I mean look at us! Who would've ever thought that as seniors we finally got the chance to have a boyfriend, plus meet their family" she laughed.

"Well.. me and Jason aren't exactly together.. we've never ever talked about it"

"Are you serious bitch? You don't need a proposal to see that he is so whipped!" She left her gaze from the steering wheel for a second to look at me.

"He is so not whipped!" I denied.

"He is so so whipped, probably more than William is with India" we both laughed at that.

"I'm happy for them, but I hope Emily gets around you know.. maybe we should invite some other guy at the chalet for New Year's Eve, what about your cousin? Damn I've seen him on Facebook and he's grown hot!" I offered.

"He's in Florida for a scholarship, so nope" she shrugged.

"Anyway let's go" Chanel stopped the car, picking the bags where she had her gifts from the back seat.

It was traditional that every year we shared our Christmas presents the 23rd, today, and then promise to open them the night of the 24th or on Christmas day.

When we entered the bar our friends, Emily, India, Adam, Jason and even William were already at the table having their drinks. The girls had ordered a hot chocolate while I really didn't know how the guys could've been drinking beer at this time in the morning.

We started exchanging our gifts, thanking and smiling at each other. I loved this, I loved my friends. I don't care how the guys could appear as bad boys with all their tattoos and attitude or the girls snob and mighty, they all had a huge heart, huge as the universe.
Nevertheless their complicated character, nevertheless MY complicated personality, they will always be true friends and sisters.

Yes, there was a sort of brotherhood
between us, something unbreakable. We could be there for each other without seeing or hearing from them everyday. Because we had the certainty that even if this year everyone would take different a path, we would always find a way to keep in touch and be there.

Emily and India had bought me their gift together, so I was certain that it was a necklace or something like that. Adam gave a big red bag with a red ribbon on top. The bag was soft, so I guessed it was clothing.

"With Chanel's help" he said smiling.

"Oh then I'm guessing there would be something from Versace in there" I laughed.

"Nope, I contained myself this time" chanel interfered.

I hugged Adam, before passing him a bag with the exact logo of the one he gave me.

"With Chanel's help" I quoted his same words laughing.

"Absolutely not! I've got nothing to do with what's in there" she laughed with me.

William threw me a little bag with a hard box in it. I caught it just in time before it fell.

"Always elegant" I rolled my eyes.

"Let me know if you like it" he said before I passed him his, which by the way I bought at last minute, because I didn't know he was joining us, but I think we can call him a member of the group now.
