"Are you still hiding?" I hear my friend Mike ask me with a hint of humor in his tone. I roll my eyes and get out from under the little table in front of the geography books shelf.
"Does it look like I am?" I shrug off as I cross my arms over my chest, mirroring Mike's stance."Well, what were you doing under that table then?" He smirked and his confident tone made me roll my eyes.
"I don't recall." I answer, lifting my chin and closing my eyes shortly, before looking away from him. Mike let out a laugh."Okay, Justin Bieber. But just know, you can't hide from him for ever." Mike took a step closer, closer than it might have been comfortable for some, but we've been friends since the kindergarten days, so no biggie.
"And when he finally catches you, he'll rip your skin off you and pokes your eyes out. After that he sticks two mozzarella sticks up your-"
"Stop! I'm not scared of him, I was just looking for my pencil." I shook my head violently, not letting those images invade my mind."Where's your pencil then?" He smirks again as his eyes wander down my body.
"Well, smart-ass if you wouldn't have interrupted me, I might have found it by now." I say in a duh tone."Whatever, ready for lunch? Your probably last lunch?" He asks me casually, making me take in a deep breath.
"You know for somebody who says he's my best friend, you're kind of bad at soothing me." I tell him and pick up my backpack from a chair."That's because I'm not soothing you." He shrugs his shoulders as he follows me to the library door.
"You should. That's what best friends do." I roll my eyes."So that he'll kill me too? No thanks." Mike snorted and we entered the library together. We made our way towards the cafeteria where Danny and Lila are waiting for us as always. They look up at us once we reach our table and smile.
"Hey." Mike says as he sits down, but their eyes are fixed on me and I roll my eyes again as I settle down.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" I ask with disinterest, looking at my food."Is that blood?" Danny asks shocked and my eyes widen as I touch my face. All three of my friends erupt in laughter and I scowl at them.
"Sorry, I was looking into the future." Danny snickers as the laughter dies down."You're funny." I say sarcastically as I look around the cafeteria. Is it just me or is everybody stealing glances at me? I look to the other side of the room and sure enough the majority of them are looking at me too.
"Why is everybody looking at me?" I ask my friends, interrupting their daily bicker.
"Well, everybody was at that party." Danny says and I nod."Not everybody." Lila rolls her eyes, making us laugh. Her parents are prudes and she's not allowed to stay out late. So she missed the probably biggest home-party ever. But then again, she missed those other home-parties too.
"But you know what happened, so I'm glad they didn't leave you out." I shoot a glare at Danny and Mike. Lila shakes her head in what seems like disbelieve.
"I still can't believe you did it. What again possessed you to do that?" She asked with amusement and I bite my inner cheek."They dared me." I point at Danny and Mike as if that explained everything.
"Yeah, but you could've chickened out." Lila rolls her eyes."If I were sober I would've probably chickened out, because I would've recognized his face. But drunk me, no. I even went as far as kissing him. Oh god." I cover my face with my hands. This stupid dare. I remember it like it was just yesterday ago.
The party was great, probably the best home-party I've been to. I don't even know who's party it was, but that doesn't matter. I knew from the moment I saw some unrecognizable faces that that party wasn't only filled with people from our school. We weren't even half of the population there.
But that was better anyway, because you get a change to meet new people and there was this guy who I danced with...he was hot. Very hot and I didn't know him, so naturally I liked him. We took a few shots and he had to leave after a while, but he gave me his number and I still have to text him.
Danny and Mike were at the bar with some girls and when I came over we drank some more. As I said before, I was drunk and drunk me is... different.
"How about truth or dare?" Mike asked the table, but his eyes were glued on me. He knew that drunk me would never say no to that game.
"How about dare, you wuss." He laughed out loud at my words and Danny patted my back."You asked for it." Mike said as he looked around the room. This house was huge, but the bottom floors were still packed with people. The area where we were seated in was big and open. It wasn't a kitchen, it was literally a bar and we had a perfect view to those in the living room and the kitchen.
"Dump this-" He placed a cocktail in my hands and pointed at a guy who was sitting on the couch.
"On his head." Mike ended and at that time I didn't hear the girl's gasps or Danny's held back laugh. I snorted at the easiness of this dare and made my way towards the guy.At that time I also didn't know I was supposed to dump an ice cold cocktail over Chandler Hawkes' head. Yes, the Chandler Hawkes. The teenager who killed his mother, the teenager who's dad is a high personage in the government and the teenager who could ruin my whole life if he found out who that girl was who embarrassed him on a party like that. But as I said, I didn't know.
When I finally reached him, he didn't even look up from his red cup. I was sure he had something heavy in there, because I remember the liquid was brown. I looked back at Mike when after a minute, he still haven't looked up. It's like he didn't even notice my appearance.
Mike just shrugged and motioned me to go further, so I smirked as a sudden idea occurred me. This would make him notice me, I thought. So I sat down on his lap, making him flinch and look at me with a confused frown. I heard his cup hit the floor, but I didn't care.
Before he was able to do or say anything, I placed my lips on his. I was hoping this would distract him. After all, he's a teenage boy, right? And I was right, I distracted him. His warm lips started moving against mine. It was sloppy, I'm not gonna lie, but he was probably drunk. His hands found my bottom and I almost forgot why I came here.
But when I almost dropped my cocktail, I remembered. So I smirked into the kiss and lifted the glass over his head. Within seconds I dumped the cold liquid over his head, jumped up from his lap and ran to Mike, whose mouth was open and his eyes were wide.
"Crap, let's go." Danny grabbed my hand and we ran to his car, since he was our driver. I didn't get a chance to look back at the boy. But I heard a lot of shouting and drunk me was even proud. If I only knew...
