Allie's PoV:
Was he serious? I looked at him with a disbelieving look and he just shrugged. I looked away again and heard him sigh.
"I'm sorry, okay? I know you don't understand why I acted the way I did, but I had my reasons." I heard him say."What reasons?" I wanted to know. I wanted to know why he hated his father so much? Tobias said he loved him and Chandler didn't even spare him a glance. What could've been so bad?
"I can't tell you." He said and I nodded slowly. Right.I saw that we were turning the corner to my house and sat up straighter.
"Let me out at the corner." I ordered, but he didn't. I looked at him and saw he was gripping the steering wheel tight."Chandler, stop the car." I said through gritted teeth. He stopped the car and I was about to get out, when he locked the doors. Is he serious? I turned to him and he had his eyes closed.
"Can't you just trust me with that?" He asked after a while."With what?" I crossed my arms over my chest. I wasn't even upset because he was rude to his father and didn't tell me. I was upset, because he was insulting my cooking and made me feel unwanted.
"I have my reasons for my behaviour." He explained and I shrugged.
"Whatever. Just let me out." I snapped and he glared at me.
"Why do you even care? He's my father and I talk to him as I please." He hit the steering wheel."Because he's your father and you don't talk to him like that." I answered and he rolled his eyes.
"He has done nothing to prove that he is my father. It's the first time we even sat together at a dining table." He scoffed."I don't believe that. Even if, he told me you never eat his food. So no wonder." I said and he chuckled humorlessly while shaking his head. I looked away from him and he did the same. It was quiet for a few minutes as no one spoke.
"But you can't be mad at me for that. It's not really any of your business." I heard him say, his voice quieter and calmer than before.
"You think I'm mad because of that?" I scoffed and snapped my head to him."You're not?" He looked confused and I shook my head and tried opening the door again.
"Chandler, just let me out. I still need to do my homework." I sighed, but he shook his head."Tell me why you're upset then." He sounded genuinely confused and I raised an eyebrow. Did he really not know what he did?
"You don't know? What else could've upset me? More like hurt me." He gave me a perplexed look."Nothing? You really can't think of anything?" I asked with a scoff.
"Just tell me." He growled.
"You weren't only mean to your dad, Chandler. You made me feel unwanted and kept glaring at me. Above all you made fun of my cooking skills. It's like the first day as your slave all over again." I threw my hands in the air."What? When the fuck did I do that?" He asked with a frown on his face.
"You seriously don't remember saying all those things?" I scoffed and he shook his head.
"I only wanted to leave my dad. I didn't mean to make you feel unwanted. You know that's not true." His voice was so soft and the look he gave me was so close to loving, I had to look away."I'm serious, Allie. I didn't mean that." He lifted my chin and made me look at him. I breathed out and nodded. I was still a little upset, but not as much as before. I really thought he didn't want me there.
"But you did make fun of my cooking skills. And even though-" I got interrupted by his stifled laugh. I frowned at him and he quickly recovered.
"Cooking skills." He made a noise that showed me how funny he thought that was and I slapped his chest."You're an asshole." It wasn't funny at all. If I wasn't so scared of touching raw meat, I would've been a great chef. He didn't stop smiling.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know it affected you so much. I'll stop teasing you about it. If you want, I can give you a lesson." He said and I scoffed."I don't want your lesson. Just let me out." I told him and his smile dropped.
"Why are you still mad? I said I was sorry. Just forgive me already and let's get to the fun part." He smirked and I gave him another disbelieving look. Did he really think I was going to kiss him today? After all that happened."Are you serious? Chandler, I am so close to kicking that window down and climb through it to get away from you." I pointed to the window of my car door.
"But that's the deal." He growled and I rolled my eyes."Fuck your deal. I call it off." I said. I was angry, I didn't want to be here and he was only thinking about kissing me.
"You can't call it off. What the fuck?" He said with a scowl on his face."I can. I'm not going to let you kiss me anymore." I shrugged and he clenched his jaw.
"Then I'll force you to kiss me!" He was desperate at this point and I could see that, but I wasn't giving in."Oh, so you're a rapist now?" I asked and he widened his mouth and eyes.
"No. I would never- No." He said, making a grimace. I shook my head and tried opening the door again."Chandler-"
"No, Allie. You can't leave me! Not after today!" He growled as he hit the steering wheel again. I flinched, but he wasn't finished.
"I will not let you. You are mad, I get it. But you told me you wanted to be my friend." He said."Your friend, Chandler. Not your kissing buddy. All you think about is kissing me and I think you should go and look for somebody else to help you with your sexual frustration! Because I am not the right person for this!" I yelled.
"My sexual frustration? No- Allie...ugh!" He put his forehead on the steering wheel and closed his eyes tightly.Silence surrounded us and my heart ached when I heard his next words. I knew I was mad and I would regret snapping at him tomorrow. But above all, I would regret calling it off. Because at that time I already fell too deep.
"You're right. We- we should end it. We should end it all."
