"You..you love Patty," I reminded him as he started to close in on me. I kept moving back as he advanced and found myself pressed up against the wall. I saw the intent in his eyes as clear as day.
"Don't remind me," he said as he bent down towards me.
"Why are you doing this?" I turned my head to avoid his.
"Are you kidding me? Its time I taught that bitch a lesson. She thinks I am at her beck and call. That she could just snap her fingers and that I would come running everytime. Its time she learnt diferently."
"No. Don't. Please don't," I pleaded. "You are my friend. We're friends," I reminded him.
He leaned in closer and cupped my face between his hands to hold me still.
"I was never your friend. Never! It was always because of Patty. She was the reason I hanged out with you at all," he said brutally. My eyes instantly watered and so I missed it when he swooped down and took my lips in a bruising kiss. I started to cry harder. I felt strangely helpless. My limbs felt weak and useless. I would have crumbled to the floor if he weren't holding me up.
Then vertigo hit me and I found myself pressed down into my couch. With my tears blinding me. I really could not see. He ripped my shirt clean off me. The sound of the fabric tearing set me off. My arms and legs suddenly found life of their own and started trashing against him trying to break free. I screamed shrilly. I screamed and screamed. I was not sure how long after but suddenly Mark was wrenched off me. I briefly saw Eric before relief took me under.
When I came to the police was there and a paramedic was treating me.
I looked about disorientated but recalling completely what happened.
"Eric?"
"Finally, the sleeping beauty awakes. You keep poor company my girl. If thats the type you like to hang out with then I completely understand your aversion to me," Eric said looking down at me mockingly.
I burst into tears. Blinded by my own tears I almost missed the look of reprimand that the paramedic shot at Eric.
Eric shrugged before he said,"I called your sister Patty. As soon as she is here I will leave."
