"Smack down!" Phobos leered.
The Greninja grabbed a stone and skillfully threw it at Hilda's Eelektross- it didn't even miss. The Eelektross fell straight to the ground. The tables have now turned.
"Now, strike it with Earthquake!" Phobos shouted. Higa leapt towards where Eelektross crashed.
"Golurk, Dynamic Punch!" Hilbert countered. Golurk swung its fist towards Higa.
"Mat Block!" Phobos yelled back.
Higa pulled up an impenetrable, translucent sheet of pure energy that blocked Golurk's attack. When the barrier disappeared, Golurk retracted its fist again to deliver another punch but at that instant-
"Shintaro, use Sucker Punch!" Deimos commanded. Shintaro the Toxicroak struck Golurk in the face with a super-effective blow. Meanwhile, Higa, grabbed Eelektross' head and forced it into the soil, simultaneously stomping the ground to cause a great earthquake.
"Woah..." Hilbert gasped as he tried to get a firm foothold.
A sharp, cracking sound reached his ears. Hilbert glanced to the source and saw a tree cracking at the base. It was about to fall on Hilda- she was too worried about her Pokemon to notice!
"Hilda!" Hilbert yelled, pushing her out of the way with his body. Both of them landed side by side. The tree fell down with a tremendous crash. Hilda's mouth was agape at the thought of being crushed by it.
"T-Thanks," She said, still wide eyed with shock.
"Tross..." Eelektross cried out before fainting.
"Ugh, Eelektross, return! Ferrothorn, take em down!"
"Ferro Ferro, Ferrothorn replied in acknowledgement.
"Ferrothorn, use Spikes!"
Ferrothorn spread out its vines and spun rapidly- spreading out glowing red balls of spikes that immediately sunk into the ground upon landing. Phobos did not issue an order to Higa to attack. He let his Pokemon observe her opponent.
Hilda gave out her next command: "Ferrothorn, use Stealth Rock!"
Ferrothorn raised its two vines and multiple jagged rocks surrounding it floated into the air, then they began circling the battlefield.
"Satisfied? Higa and Shintaro were the only ones we brought to battle. Your entry hazard have gone to waste," Phobos taunted.
"Crap," Hilda mumbled.
Meanwhile, Shintaro the Toxicroak was Sucker Punching Golurk at every opportunity.
"Lurrkkk..." Golurk bellowed in pain.
"Strike it again!" Deimos screamed. Shintaro leapt towards Golurk with intense blood-lust.
"Golurk, grab him!" Hilbert shouted.
Golurk grabbed Shintaro at the last second. Shintaro tried to struggle from Golurk's iron grip but to no avail.
"Hammer arm!" Hilbert commanded. Golurk lifted its other hand up into the air, and in a hammering motion, slammed it onto Shintaro's head.
"Surf!" Phobos commanded his Greninja. Higa came to its ally's rescue and created a huge wave that crashed onto Golurk. The attack was super-effective- severely weakening it and causing it to let go of Shintaro.
"It's a Water-type now! Ferrothorn, now's your chance; use Vine Whip!" Hilda cried.
"Ice Beam on that Golurk," Phobos said confidently.
