Snorlax was too slow to move out of the way. The attack hit the giant hard- but it didn't take him out. Snorlax tumbled backward and howled in pain.

"Heh, good job," Hilbert said to his Pokemon. Meanwhile, Snorlax grumbled angrily and got up on his two feet. "Night Slash!" Hilbert commanded. Moto charged at the Snorlax and was ready to strike him.

"Swat him away," Red said nonchalantly. Just as Moto was a few inches away from him, Snorlax smacked him with the back of his hand. Snorlax may look big and chubby, but his strength was astounding: Moto was sent flying all the way to the other end of the arena. He crashed into the wall, cracking the cement.

"Bi... Bisharp!" Moto grunted. He charged at Snorlax again. Snorlax tried to slap him, but Moto was more alert now. He somersaulted over Snorlax's hand and jabbed him in the face. Snorlax huffed angrily and tried to slap him again, this time from behind. Moto back-flipped over the incoming attack, landed on his arms and launched himself at Snorlax, kicking him repeatedly in the face. The crowd applauded hysterically at Moto's acrobatic prowess.

"Snor!" Snorlax grumbled.

"Is your Snorlax still bored?" Hilbert taunted.

"Body Slam," Red muttered, ignoring Hilbert. Moto looked up at Snorlax's looming figure. He was totally engulfed by the immense Pokemon's shadow. Snorlax spread out his arms and let himself fall down. Moto turned around and tried to move out of the way as fast as he could--

Snorlax crashed onto the ground with a deafening boom, crushing anything beneath it. The fall was so great, the entire arena trembled.

"Bi...sharp..." Moto winced. His leg was squashed beneath Snorlax's blubber. He was so close to escaping.

"Stay put," Red told his Snorlax.

"Try to break free!" Hilbert said. Bisharp felt a shooting pain from his crushed leg. He attacked vainly at Snorlax to let him go. He slashed, jabbed, stabbed, kicked, but nothing worked. Snorlax's thick fat absorbed the impact of Moto's attacks, rendering them useless. Snorlax shifted his weight towards Moto's leg. That's when Moto felt an excruciating pain.

"BISHAAARRPP!" Moto roared.

"That's enough, Snorlax. He should be paralyzed by now," Red said. He returned Snorlax to his Pokeball. Immediately, the great pressure on Moto's leg vanished. Moto gasped as he felt a wave of relief wash over him, even though he was still injured; paralyzed actually.

"Espeon, your opponent's weak. Take him out," Red pointed at Moto to his next Pokemon. Espeon, the purple, feline Pokemon observed her opponent carefully. Moto used his remaining strength to crawl away.

Espeon's a Psychic-type while Moto's a Dark-type, Hilbert thought to himself. Psychic Pokemon are weak against Dark Pokemon. If I could get Moto to hit her hard with a Dark-type attack, then maybe... just maybe, I could beat this guy.

"Moto!" Hilbert whispered to his Pokemon. "Follow my lead," he said. Moto nodded. Meanwhile, Espeon's sensitive fur felt a shift in the air current- Moto was planning a deadly attack!

"Whatever you have planned up your sleeve, it won't do. Espeons have the ability to predict their foe's next move," Red said.

"Ugh!" Hilbert grimaced. He and Moto glanced at each other worriedly. But I can't just let Moto sit there and go down without a fight! He reasoned. But Moto can't move much either... There wasn't much Hilbert or Moto could do. Moto was worn out and paralyzed. Even if he did his best to muster an attack, Espeon would've already sensed it coming. Moto slumped down onto the ground hopelessly. He was just waiting for Espeon to deliver the finishing blow.
