I threw a hoodie and sweatpants on before walking out to Mary's car and starting the engine. It only took a few minutes to get to the high school and I walked toward the field. I never noticed how creepy it was at night... I checked my phone to see that it was five minutes past 11. I looked up to see Brett standing by the nearest goal and I smiled.
"Hey, what's up? Why'd you want to meet up tonight?" I asked, walking toward him.
"You promise you won't freak out?"
"I don't freak out easily, trust me," I mumbled, avoiding his eyes. Brett looked down at the ground and I heard him growl low in his throat. When he lifted his head, I was surprised to see his face morphed into the half-werewolf face and his eyes glowed yellow.
"Why is everyone a werewolf in this town?" I chuckled.
"You know about the whole supernatural thing? How?!"
"I just do," I replied. Suddenly, his lips touched mine and fireworks blasted in my mind. After a couple of minutes, I pulled away. "Holy shit."
Brett smiled and wrapped one arm around my waist.
"Would you...be my girlfriend? And not my secret girlfriend either. Not like the other girls..."
I bit my lip before nodding enthusiastically.
