Cassia's POV:
So that's how I met him.
So back to the part where I walk into school.
My friend Dani's smile lit up when she saw me. She shut off her phone and lightly embraced me. I smiled back.
"Hey Dani!" I said, pulling back from the hug.
"Hey Cassia. You're later then usual. You okay?" She asked, picking up her bag and following me into the crowd of people merging into the hallways.
We were all the way up on the fourth floor, so we had a while to go.
"Yeah. My mom got up late, so I had to walk here. I can't wait until I can drive."
She nodded. "Me neither."
We walked in silence up the stairs, people screaming and yelling and pushing each other from every which way on our slow ascend upwards.
"Last...flight...of...stairs." I panted, my legs burning and my arms weak.
"Y-yeah." Dani whispered next to me.
As we reached the top of the stairs, I suddenly felt a little shove from behind.
Great.
"Stop. It." I whispered through gritted teeth.
I heard the same low chuckle from behind, followed by a high-pitched giggle.
"You're hilarious, Harry." I heard Olivia say from behind me.
I turned around to see the two lovebirds making gooey faces at each other.
"That's what I'm known for, babe." Harry laughed, his response creating the same awful squeal from Olivia.
Or "Liv", as she prefers.
"You two make me sick." I said, picking up my bag and walking to my locker.
"At least I don't make people throw up." I heard him yell from behind. I bit my lip to keep myself from saying something back, something that I know I would regret.
"Good one Harry!" Olivia laughed, her giggle trailing after her as she disappeared down the hallway.
Of course. The two people I hated the most in this world were a item now. Great, just great.
I slammed my locker shut in frustration as I walked alone to my first period class, art.
Something that I loved to do.
"Hello Ms. Greenwald." Mrs. Lovell said from behind her desk, her eyes glued to the computer.
I wouldn't call her much of an art teacher, since she just sat on her computer all period, but at least she stays out of my business.
"Hi Mrs. Lovell." I muttered, placing my books on the ledge in the back of the room.
I was the first person in the class, so I took out what I needed.
A piece of paper, a pencil, and my creativity.
I shut out the groups of people wandering into the classroom. I shut out the thoughts of this morning, of Harry and Olivia.
I shut out everything but that one piece of paper.
And then, I just started drawing.
I didn't know what I was drawing. I just drew the shapes and lines that first came to my mind.
I loved drawing. It was one of the only things that could take my mind off of everything else going on in my life.
All I had to focus on was one piece of paper.
As I slowly removed my pencil from the paper, I examined what I had drawn.
I took a deep breath, placing the paper back down.
I had drawn a girl, a girl sitting alone in a corner, her knees drawn close to her chest, her head buried in her legs.
I flipped the paper over and slipped it into my folder before I could think of it any longer.
The bell suddenly rang, signaling that the period was over.
The rest of the morning flew by.
But after that, there was lunch.
